University of South Wales offers full-time and part-time B.Sc Hons Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management programme. The duration of full-time programme is three years. Admission and Application

For University of South Wales admission to the B.Sc Hons Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management programme, students have to first meet the eligibility criteria. Eligibility

Students have to meet the eligibility criteria in order to take University of South Wales admission to the B.Sc Hons Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management programme. After meeting the eligibility criteria, students have to apply in the online mode for the programme admission. The eligibility criteria varies depending upon the course selection and the country of residence. The detailed eligibility criteria for UK students and Indian students are given below. The eligibility requirements also involve English language proficiency in either IELTS/TOEFL/CAE/Trinity/IELCA/PTE/KITE and others.

For UK students-

  • A-level BCC

  • Welsh BACC- grade C and BC at A level

  • BTEC Extended Diploma Distinction Merit

  • Pass the Access to HE Diploma and obtain a minimum of 104 UCAS tariff points

  • A minimum 5 GCSEs including Mathematics/Numeracy and English at Grade C or Grade 4 or above, or their equivalent, but consideration is given to individual circumstances


For International Students (India)-

  • An overall average of 60 - 65% or above in the 12th Standard depending on the board

  • Advanced entry to certain undergraduate degree programmes may be possible for students who hold a UK HND or India Diploma in a relevant subject


English language requirements-

  • HSC (12th standard) English at 65-70% or above, depending on the board studied 

  • IELTS 6.0 overall with at least 5.5 in each band or equivalent 

  • USW English test (known as the Password test) - this is a free English test that can be completed in India

  • TOEFL with a score of 72 overall and a minimum of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing

  • Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 - overall score of 169 with at least 162 in each component; exams taken before January 2015 - Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill 

  • Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE II Distinction or ISE III Pass

  • IELCA

  • Direct entry: 32 overall score, no less that 30 in each component

  • Direct entry needing a higher IELTS score: 35 overall, no less than 30 in each component

  • PTE Academic and PTE Academic UKVI with a score of 64 overall and 59 in each component. 

  • LanguageCert International ESOL B2 Communicator or SELT Exam with a High pass with a minimum score of 33 in reading, writing and listening, and 38 in speaking.  

  • PSI Service (UK) Ltd Skills for English UKVI B2 (4 component) with a pass in all 4 components (listening, speaking, reading writing)

  • Kaplan International Tools for English (KITE) online test: Overall score of 458, with 425 in each component

  • Password Skills Plus with an overall score of 6.0 and no less than 5.5 in each component
