    About B.Sc Hons Computer Science

    University of Central Lancashire offers full-time and part-time B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme. The duration of full-time programme is three years and that of part-time programme is five years. The programme B.Sc Hons Computer Science at University of Central Lancashire covers theoretical aspects of computer science and knowledge of software development and user interface design. B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme imparts technical skills like programming, developing databases, developing interactive games using 3D graphics, managing software projects and learning to programme effectively in C++.  Students have the options to choose optional modules to study their subjects of interest. 

    B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme comprises 95% face-to-face on-campus learning and 5% online learning. B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme provides opportunities like industrial placements in the second year of study. The placement opportunities are either UK based or based in Europe, Australia, Japan and USA. Students of B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme can opt for various professional fields like software architecture and development, data analytics, IT consultancy, database administration and mobile application development. Students can also opt for postgraduate courses like M.Sc courses in Computing or IT Security, M.Res in Child Computer Interaction or User Experience Design, M.Sc (By Research), M.Phil or Ph.D.

    The programme consists of a mixture of lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical sessions. Practical-based learning in laboratories and university computer rooms are also provided.     Admission and Application

    For admission to B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme at University of Central Lancashire, students have to first meet the eligibility criteria. After meeting the eligibility criteria, students have to apply for the programme admission in the online mode. Students have to apply on the UCAS website to register for B.Sc Hons Computer Science programme admission. After that, students have to submit the completed application form.
