About Ajman University

Ajman University was established in 1988 and is the first private non-profit university to be accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (UAS) in the UAE and Arab region. It has been recognised as one of the first six higher education institutions in the world to receive global accreditation from QAA.

Ajman University's acceptance rate is very low at nearly 17%. Hence, aspirants are recommended to stand out from all applications academically or through other talents. The competition is high for international students. It is recommended to add information correctly and carefully in the application form as the admission authorities of the institution are selective.

Ajman University was the first nationwide (UAE) to get an overall institutional 5 QS Stars Ranking and 5 QS Stars in 8 categories in the year 2022. The institution has marked its name in the top 5 in the UAE and at 551st position in the world as per QS Rankings in 2024. It is among the top 1.75 institutions in the world.

For application to graduate school, the candidate must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

According to the academic year 2021-2022, Ajman University has a total enrollment of 6085 students. Out of these, there are 2556 male and 3529 female students. Around 93% (5659) of the total enrollment belongs to undergraduate students and only 7% (426) are enrolled in graduate studies.

Ajman University Eligibility

Interested applicants must showcase their eligibility to be a part of Ajman University. The admission criteria laid out by the college are mentioned below:

For Undergraduate applications to the university, the applicants must have the following:

  • Candidates must have passed secondary school and an official transcript or a certificate certified by the UAE Ministry of Education or its equivalent certified from the country of origin by the authorised educational authority must be presented to the university

  • Candidates must have English proficiency up to the standards of the selected course
