About Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Russia was established on September 17, 1951, under the resolution of the Soviet Cabinet of Ministers on the basis of the Department of Physics and Technology at the Lomonosov Moscow State University. MIPT came into existence under the governance of Pyotr Kapitsa, Nikolay Semenov, and Sergey Khristianovich. The resolution by the Soviet Cabinet of Ministers came into approval on November 25, 1946.

MIPT Russia admissions are offered to students for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programmes based on the academic requirements of students and English proficiency test scores. Detailed information about the admission procedure is given below.
Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology Admission Procedure for undergraduate/ postgraduate/ doctoral programmes-
- For getting admissions, students need to apply on the official website of MIPT.
- All the application forms must be submitted along with required documents and by paying the necessary amount of fees.
- Students must also submit their scores on the English proficiency test.
- For Russian taught programmes, students must have studied Russian language in the past at least to pass an exam or must hold a completion certificate of the MIPT Pre-university courses.
- After clearing all the processes, students will be offered MIPT admissions after getting their documents verified and paying the admission fee.

- For MIPT eligibility, students must have documents like Passport (or ID) copy with registration, Visa+, English proficiency proof, Curriculum Vitae, Cover letter, Two letters of recommendation, etc.
- For undergraduate programmes, students must have completed high-school or diploma
- For graduate programmes, students must have completed a bachelor's degree in any relevant field.
- For Non- Russian students, students must also submit transcripts along with legalisation and notarised translation into Russian.
