About Delft University of Technology

The Delft University of Technology, also known as TU Delft was established in 1842. It is also recognised as one of the largest and oldest universities of Netherlands offering its undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes under its eight faculties including Aerospace Engineering, Applied Sciences, Architecture and the Built Environment, Civil Engineering and Geosciences, Electrical EngineeringMathematics and Computer Science, Industrial Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maritime and Materials Engineering, and Technology, Policy and Management.

Delft University of Technology Admission and Application

  • For admission, applicants must apply on the university website and download the application forms from there.
  • Downloaded registration forms need to be submitted along with mandatory documents and after paying the application fee.
  • In addition to that, students applying for Architecture and the Built Environment and Industrial Design Engineering need to qualify for an entrance exam too.
  • Based on all the eligible criteria and other qualifying factors, candidates can get admissions.

Delft University of Technology Eligibility

  • For admissions to bachelor programmes, students are required to complete their higher secondary education and for admissions to master programmes, applicants need to qualify bachelor’s degree at any accredited university or institution.
  • Students must also submit a few additional documents like reference letters, a cv, a personal statement and previous academic transcripts.
  • Also, candidates must have English language as their native or first language otherwise, they are required to submit proof of their English proficiency by submitting scores of any of the English language test such as Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (C2) or the Certificate in Advanced English (C1).
  • Scores submitted for the English language test are only valid for two years.

  • The library of TU Delft has a vast collection of books, journals and other materials in both digital and printed format. It was introduced in 1997 and was designed by Delft-based Mecanoo architecture bureau. The library also offers other facilities like studying spaces, photocopying, scanning etc. and is also provided with internet connectivity.
