The MBBS study at New Vision University is for six years (72 months) and leads to an MD (Doctor of Medicine) degree, known as a Medical Doctor programme or qualifications. The New Vision University offers numerous undergraduate, graduate, and research programmes. Students who wish to enrol in any of the courses must meet the eligibility requirements. Students can follow the procedure described below:
To apply to the NVU College of Medicine, applicants must first fill out the Application and submit it along with copies of the required documents to their official email address: admissions@newvision.ge.
If the documents are not in English, they must be translated and notarized in either English, French, or German.
Each applicant must include his or her full name, passport number, and preferred programme title in the email's subject line.
Within seven days of receiving the application, NVU will schedule a Skype interview with the applicant, confirm that the applicant meets all admission requirements, and send a Conditional Offer Letter.
After obtaining the Conditional Offer Letter, applicants must pay the initial tuition fee and provide their full name and passport number in the Transfer Purpose line.
New Vision University School of Medicine will send the applicant an Acknowledgement of Payment letter once the payment is received.
Applicants must send NVU a Power of Attorney authorising NVU to represent them before the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science.
NVU will apply to the National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement and request recognition of the applicant's foreign education status to grant the right to enrol in an institution of higher education without taking the Unified National Examinations/Unified Master's Examination.
Consequently, New Vision University will issue the enrollment document (granting student status) and an invitation to Georgia in the form of an Unconditional Offer Letter.
Bachelor and One-Cycle programme applicants will be required to submit the following materials:
For stateless individuals, a copy of a residence certificate.
A copy of a high school diploma or equivalent.
A copy of the document providing for credits earned at a foreign institution of higher education – for applicants who study/studied and earned credits at a foreign institution of higher education, duly authorised in accordance with the law in force in the country concerned.
A 3x4 photograph.
Document demonstrating proficiency in the English language, as outlined in the Rules for Determining English Language Proficiency (if applicable).
Court affidavit confirming that the names on the passport and educational document belong to the same person, if the names do not match.
The following documents must be submitted by applicants for a Master's degree programme at New Vision University:
Copy of the International passport, or for stateless people, a copy of the residence certificate.
Bachelor's Degree certificate
A copy of the respective foreign higher education qualification document, issued by an accredited foreign higher education institution.
A copy of the document providing for credits earned at a foreign institution of higher education – for applicants who are/were enrolled in Master's courses and earned credits at a foreign institution of higher education, duly authorised in accordance with the law in force in the country in consideration.
Applicants who graduated from a higher education institution but did not take the Unified National Examination will be required to submit the following additional documents:
Copies of the qualification document obtained via the Procedure of Enrollment without taking the Unified National Examination – Diploma and Diploma Supplement.
Act of the head of the higher education institution certifying the enrollment of the applicant in the first cycle of higher education through the Procedure of Enrollment without completing the Unified National Examination.
A 3x4 photograph.
One of the English language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL) documents outlined in the Rules for Determining English Language Proficiency.
If the names on the passport and educational document do not match, a court affidavit confirming that both documents belong to the same person is required.
A completed electronic application form;

The document attesting that the tuition fee has been paid;
A certificate confirming to a proficiency level of at least B2 in English or another European language (German, French) or any other language proficiency document;
The curator's recommendation, which may include information about the applicant's education, employment experience, or previous academic activities.
Foreign Student Admission Requirements for the Doctor of Medicine Programme include:
Proof of English Proficiency at the B2 Level such as IELTS or TOEFL (specifically English for Medical Purposes Exam – EMPE with a 70% passing score).
If a student scores 60% or
higher (60-69%) on the EMPE, NVU offers free Medical English preparation courses.
If a student obtains at least 50% (50-59%) on the EMPE, NVU provides free general and medical English preparation courses.
The MCAT (Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems) must be passed with a passing score of 50 percent or a Biology and Chemistry knowledge certification.
All students are provided with a second chance to pass the English Exam. Exemption from the MCAT requires an overall average of 90 or higher in a minimum of two science-related subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environment; either Biology or Chemistry must be included) from the student's high school transcript.
NVU offers free MCAT preparation courses to students who have earned a score of 32 or higher on the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) or who have earned a grade of 90 or higher in Biology or Chemistry, based on their prior school's certificate/transcript, and who also meet the English Language admission requirements. After completing the necessary preparatory courses, the student may retake the MCAT exam (which requires a passing score of 50%).
The library contains a collection of seminar-related books, the ABC Library, a library service centre, university electronic resources, and an international system for literature research. Within the framework of a collaborative project between the non-governmental organisation "Civic Education and Social Equality Centre" (CESEC) and American organisations, numerous books from American citizens, private and governmental organisations, and various publishing houses were compiled and added to the library's collection. Private collections have donated a number of volumes and manuscripts dating as far back as 1800.
Students with special requirements receive advice, guidance, and specialised support from New Vision University and external agencies (if necessary).

As the campus of New Vision University is adapted to special requirements, all students with disabilities and long-term medical conditions can request special assistance and services. The campus provides housing on campus for individuals with disabilities. The NVU student support services also assist students with disabilities in locating adapted accommodation options in the area. The students who are eligible for special services must provide medical documentation, including a recent diagnosis of the condition and a letter from a doctor indicating whether the condition is long-term, the side effects of the medication, and the impact of the condition on their life and academic performance/day-to-day activities.
