David Tvildiani Medical University was established in 1989 in the name of AIETI Medical School, by Scientist and Academician David Tvildiani and his son, Dr. Dimitry Tvildiani. With the addition of PhD and Doctorate Programs and the Nursing School(2016), AIETI Medical School has been awarded the status of a University by the National Authorization Council. It has been accredited by the WHO World Directory of Medical Schools in 1995. David Tvildiani Medical University Admission and Application
Programs offered by the David Tvildiani Medical University are Pre-med, MD, Nursing and PhD Programs. The University does not offer an MBBS Program. The admission process for these programs is simple and explained below:
- No entrance exam or test is required for admission to the Pre-med Program.
- Pre-med Program is a prerequisite for admission in MD Program at DTMU.
- Students who have not completed the pre-med course or want to apply directly for the MD program must pass an Admission Test conducted by the University.
- The admission exam is conducted 7-10 days before the start of the Semester at the University Campus.
- Application documents for the admission exam must be submitted before February 1st for the Spring course or August 1 for the Fall course.
- The fee for the Admission Exam is $200, including the application fee of $50.
- Students who passed the Admission Exam or graduated from the Pre-med Program get admitted to the AIETI Medical School to pursue MD.
- For PhD, admission takes place on the basis of competition.

2. Personal Statement
The Personal Statement should be handwritten and must include:

Applicant’s personal story of interests, achievements, hobbies, hardships etc.
The length of the Personal Statement should be 1 or 2 pages.
3. Two Letters Of Recommendation
The applicant must submit two Letters of Recommendation.
At least one of the LOR must be from a teacher/professor who has taught the applicant and is well aware of the applicant’s academic performance and abilities.
