About Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine
The establishment of the Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine dates back to 1934 when it was named Guangxi Provincial Nanning District Medical Research Institute. It was later renamed Guangxi College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the year 1958 after its re-establishment in 1956. Again in the year 1970, it was renamed and was called Nanning Medical College. It was March 2012, when the institute was formally upgraded as the Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Covering a total area of 1310.99 mu (873774.835 square meters) the Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine has 2 campuses, namely, Xianhu and Mingxiu. The departments at this institute include the Academy of Orthopedics, Academy of Acupuncture and Tuina, Zhuang School of Medicine, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Zhuang School of Medicine, and others.
