The University of Notre Dame is a Private Catholic University located in Perth, Australia. The University was founded in 1842 and established in 1989. It has Campuses in Sydney, Perth and Broome and seven Clinical Schools in New South Wales and Victoria. The University of Notre Dame has its campuses located at Fremantle(Perth), Sydney, and Broome. The University of Notre Dame Admission and Application

University of Notre Dame has a unique admission process as it covers not only the academic qualifications of an applicant but also assesses the personal qualities, interests, talents and motivation to study as well. The applicants are required to check the academic and English language requirements of the course they wish to pursue, before applying to study in Australia.

How to Apply at the University of Notre Dame 

The steps to apply at the University of Notre Dame are as follows:

  • Visit - notredame.edu.au/international/how-to-apply.

  • Click on the link ‘online application form’.

  • Register at the given link.

  • The login credentials will be sent via registered email address.

  • Login at the online application portal.

  • Complete the online application form(including Genuine Temporary Entrant assessment).

  • Upload the supporting documents and submit the application form.

The applicants can also download the print version of the international application form  by clicking on the provided link and send the completed form with the supporting documents to the University via email at international@nd.edu.au.

Documents required for University of Notre Dame Admission

All the documents must be submitted in original certified copies and must be translated in English. In case an applicant failed to produce the original documents along with the application is required to submit them after arriving in Australia. The supporting documents are:

  • Higher Secondary School(class 12th) Certificate(for UG applicants).

  • College Degree equivalent to an Australian Bachelor or Master Degree(for PG and Research applicants).

  • Proof of English language proficiency(IELTS/TOEFL/PTE/CAE/CPE).

  • Proof of citizenship.

  • Evidence of ability to pay living expenses and tuition fees while in Australia.

  • Certified copies of Overseas Student Health Cover(OSHC), which is a mandatory medical insurance or health cover from an Australian Health Fund.

The University of Notre Dame Eligibility

To apply at the University of Notre Dame, an applicant must fulfil all the entry requirements of the chosen course. The academic and English language requirements for international students to get admission at the University of Notre Dame are given below.

  • The applicant must be 18 years of age in the First year of study.

  • Must have secured 65% in best four subjects in Higher Secondary School(class 12th); 75%, if applying for School of Education (Secondary degrees & double degrees) and 80%, if applying for School of Law and School of Physiotherapy.

  • Must have completed a Bachelor or Master Degree equivalent to Australian Degree.

English language proficiency requirements at the University of Notre Dame

The applicants applying to study at the Notre Dame University are required to prove their proficiency in English as per the University requirements. University of Notre Dame Campuses offers many opportunities for socialisation and community building through their various support programs, facilities and clubs and societies. The campuses are facilitated with student servicesShops, weekly community meals, themed dinners, cafes, restaurants, beaches and sport facilities. The University campuses provide study spaces and necessary academic support, friendly residential supervisors and supportive community of students.

The campus residences are located near the main academic building providing students with necessary academic resources and helping them to perform well in their studies. The Fremantle train station and bus station are at walking distance. The campus is well equipped with a gym, recreation centre, sports facilities, transportation services, medical services, emergency services, security services, internet connectivity, and many other facilities. The On Campus Fitness Programs are designs to help students to stay healthy and fit. The programs include Zumba, Yoga, Pilates, PWR Pilates and more.

The Broome Campus of the University is surrounded by natural savannah and tropical gardens and is only a 10-minute walk from the main Broome shopping centre, and 20 minutes from the town centre. Bathers Beach can be reached at a walking distance. The University campuses are well equipped to provide support, resources and assistance to the students with physical challenges and disabilities. Broome Campus Accommodations

The student accommodations at Broome Campus are available in the form of Village Residences and Hostels. 

The Village: The Village includes a hostel which can accommodate 28 people and nine self-contained houses. Each house contains five single bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and study areas. Each bedroom is facilitated with a single bed, desk, bookshelf, wardrobe, air-conditioner, fully furnished, free- Wi-Fi, a communal kitchen, BBQ facilities, pool tables, a basketball court, television room, laundry and off-street parking and others. 

The Hostel: The Hostel at Broome Campus has a range of single, double and triple share rooms. Each room is facilitated with fans, desks, wardrobes, a small fridge, air-conditioning, laundry, outdoor and indoor TV lounges, shared kitchen, universal access bathrooms and dining facilities.

Sydney Off-Campus Accommodations

The Sydney Campus of the University does not offer on-campus accommodation in Sydney, the student accommodation close to campus include rooms in residential colleges, shared student apartments and private rentals.

Renting a Room- Renting a room usually consists of a shared bathroom and communal areas of the house, with separate bedroom and study area. Expenses such as power, gas, telephone and excess water are normally paid in addition to rent.
