About Deakin Business School
Deakin Business School is a part of the Deakin University which offers business programmes in six academic departments of Financial Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, and Business Analytics, General Management, and Marketing Management. Deakin was established in 1974 after the second Prime Minister of Australia, Alfred Deakin. It is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and EQUIS through the European Foundation for Management Development. Deakin Business School Admission and Application
- For Deakin Business School admissions, students need to fill the applications through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre- VTAC or through the Deakin Application Portal.
- Applicants for more than one course in Trimester 1 should be made through VTAC, while other applications for Trimester 1, 2 and 3 can be done through the Deakin Application Portal.
- Applicants need to attach all the necessary documents and pay the amount of the application fee before submitting their application forms.
- For research programmes, students also have to submit their research proposal on a particular topic.
- Students will get admissions after completing their documentation process and admission fee payment.
Deakin Business School Eligibility
- International students whose first language is not English, need to qualify for an English language proficiency test such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) or Pearson English Language Test (PTE Academic) or Cambridge English.
- Students can also satisfy the English language requirements by studying at the Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI).
- Scores of the English proficiency test should not be more than two years old.
- Candidates need to submit documents like recommendation letters, personal statement, previous academic records and a resume.
- Students must also have Recognition of prior learning (RPL) so that all their achievements and qualifications can be automatically accessed.
- For undergraduate programmes, students need to complete their high-school education and for graduate programmes, applicants need to have a bachelor’s degree in any relevant subject from any accredited university or institute.

The Elite Sports Precinct offers the best experience to students in terms of learning and practicing sports. It has an MCG-sized oval, FIFA-grade soccer pitch, basketball and netball courts, long jump track and sandpits, and an outdoor teaching hub which also offers access to the IAAF-accredited athletics track. The university also has gyms that are equipped with Technogym machines. It also has an application called Deakin Moves which has various programmes and challenges and also, students can track their workout goals on this app.
