Hello, I am a Pharm-D(6YDC) Student from India. I would like to write MCAT exam to get into Medical School for MD.Am I eligible to write MCAT being a holder of PharmD from India? Should I need to take Special Permission to apply for the Exam? If yes, Please provide me with the instructions to do so.
Hi,
To get into a medical college in US, a student is required to be a graduate with an undergraduate degree with the pre medicine track. This track can only be completed in USA. Then you can give MCAT and can apply for a medical school to get your MD degree. Once after that you can go for residency and can choose your specialisation over the course of your study.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
Im an Indian, how do i appear for MCAT test since the test is not conducted in india?
Hi,
Well if MCAT isn't available in India then you will have to travel all the way to USA to give the exam. MCAT is the medical exam that is required to be given for an applicant to apply to a medical school in USA. You can also give the exam in some of the neighbouring countries where it is offered by checking the official website.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
I am a US citizen resising in India. I am in 11th grade now. My plan is to attempt NEET and MCAT in the same year. Am I eligible to write MCAT without a bachelors degree? What is the process of completing medicine in the US?
Hi,
To study medicine abroad specially in USA as you are planning to give MCAT, you need to first be a Graduate with a undergraduate degree to apply to a medical college in USA with MCAT score. There MBBS program isn't available and you need to go for any bachelor degree course with pre medicine track and then after completing the degree you can apply to a medical school.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
