If I want to go to uk, canada or usa to pursue higher studies, which exam should i give? GMAT,GRE,SAT,ACT, TOEFL OR IELTS? Also, please give me a comparisons between these exams

Anantika Kushwaha 30th Apr, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

The type of exam should you give depends on the University you're looking for and also the course.

SAT or ACT is basically for Undergraduate courses while GRE and GMAT is for Postgraduate courses. TOEFL and IELTS are basically English Proficiency tests. They are given by the candidates whose native language is not English, it too varies according to the university. Every university has it's different criteria but if you're looking for Undergraduate course then you should give SAT as it is accepted by many universities and the language exam based on what the university is accepting.

Im a b.com final year student , am I eligible to write IELTS examination . Some are saying that I should have 16+years of study and in b.com it will be only 15years of study

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Apr, 2020
Harsha, IELTS is a Language proficiency test that you take if you want to go abroad. Because we are not English speakers, before visiting any Native English Speaking country, we have to appear for any Language Proficiency exam like TOEFL, IELTS,etc. There is no age limit or a certain educational qualification for appearing for IELTS. In general, those who want to take up Masters abroad or those who want to work abroad attempt IELTS and so there is no minimum educational qualification as such.

Ankita yadav 21st Mar, 2020
Hi aspirant
To study in foreign countries i.e. where English is an official language, all these countries ask for IELTS and they have different different scores for different countries. IELTS score lie between the scale of 0-9. And SAT is for graduation courses and GRE for master courses . And both of them have scholarships.

Hope this is helpful

I am looking to migrate to Canada, My IELTs score was 7.5 and CRS- 430. I am 40. I have a wife whose IELTS score is 8. We have a 10 year old daugther studying in class5. 1. We are wondering if applying for an MBA would be a good way to get a PR in Canada. How much score it can help us to get

lubhan cherwoo 9th Mar, 2020
Hi,
As per the information provided by you , your score in Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) skilled immigrants (Express Entry) is 430

Ideally a score of above 470 is needed to easily get a PR in express entry, though you can go for the student visa route in which you need to get a student visa after which you can apply for Permanent Residency which is easier route.
