Hello,
For admission to PhD programs, a GRE score of 300+ is required and for the top colleges, a GRE score of 320+ is a must-have. Despite this, there are many universities outside the US which do not require GRE scores for admission. In this case, you may submit a GRE score to boost your application in the eyes of the Admissions Committee, but it is generally not a prerequisite.
The English language proficiency test scores for IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic are usually required for admission to any international PhD program.
Additionally, for admission to a PhD program, candidates are often selected on the basis of past research work, academic publishings and project proposals.

Hi Sanjeev,
The best method to prepare your child for GRE would be through self study rather than coaching as he would require little or no preparation in the quantitative analysis section having covered most of the topics in his prior education. Through 2 hours of self study each day, GRE preparation can be completed in around 2-3 months.
For verbal preparation, the Barron's 333 and Barron's 1100 are important as well as sample problems from the following books:
1. ETS: The Official guide to the GRE General Test
2. 5lb book of GRE practice problems (Manhattan Prep)
3. Gre Prep (Kaplan)
These books are also good for practice of quantitative reasoning section questions. For additional verbal preparation, download the various Magoosh mobile applications available for GRE preparation .
For the analytical writing section, the ETS: The Official guide to the GRE General Test will be sufficient if your child has a good grasp on basic english.
Additionally, upon registration for the GRE , two official and timed GRE sample tests are provided by ETS which are nearly identical to the actual test.
If you are still looking for GRE coaching, then the two coaching institutes you could approach are:
