Contact of sales of goods act, 1930 PDF

saketm.ip.18 25th Jun, 2021

Contracts for the sale of commodities are governed under the Sale of Goods Act of 1930. Except for the state of Jammu and Kashmir, it applies to the entire country of India. The general rules of contract law, namely the Indian Contact Act, apply to contracts for the sale of products. A contract for the sale of goods, on the other hand, has some unique elements, such as the transfer of ownership of the products, delivery of goods, rights and responsibilities of the buyer and seller, remedies for breach of contract, implied conditions and guarantees, and so on. The Sale of Goods Act of 1930 contains provisions that address these idiosyncrasies.

I got 92.5% in class 9th, 93.4% in class 10th, 78.4% in class 11th, and Im awaiting my class 12th results. Ive cleared Pre-RMO during my class 10th. Will such academic credentials be considerable for foreign universities? I plan to sit for SAT and ACT in near future. Whatll be a safe score for me

Akshita Dhiman 25th Jun, 2021

Hi There,

Foreign universities consider many factors before admitting a candidate. Your SAT score depends on the national average. As per the statistics, the year 2018 had an average score of 1068. So how much should you score? If your score is well above this average, the more likely it is for you to get the college of your choice.

Even if a candidate scores below this average number, it can be compensated by a standout college application. So what should a college application entail?

Your college application should traverse through your high school career path. Good grades, achievements, extracurricular activities, etc., Therefore, your Pre-RMO is certainly an achievement, so yes it can be added to your college application.

But even if you into a college with a low score some colleges might ask you to enroll in some courses initially (to test the college readiness of a candidate).

Now, extracurricular activities play an important part in your college application as the admission officer’s critiques them thoroughly. It is solely done to know a candidate better, their personality and the things that they care about. Extra curricular activities usually involve any volunteer work, leadership qualities (if you were the school captain or something along those lines).

Talking about the safe score, we shouldn’t just depend on making our college application perfect. Your score on the standardized tests is as much important as other factors, so do no neglect that. The higher your score, the better are your chance of you getting the college of your choice. Usually, the colleges accept candidates that have a score between the 25 th and 75 th percentile.

You can search for the colleges of your choice here: https://www.princetonreview.com/college-education

Figuratively speaking, your SAT score should be anything above 1200 and ACT scores anything above 24. But it’s always best to aim higher and give it your best shot, because you’ll have a myriad of college options to choose from.

Which act gives protection to women victims of violence that occurs within the family

Aadarsh Gupta 17th Apr, 2021

Hello aspirant,

Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 came into force from 26 October 2006.  It is a very comprehensive and promising legislation that combines civil remedies with criminal procedures to ensure effective protection and immediate relief to victims of violence of any kind occurring within the family, The definition of ‘domestic violence' is in consonance with the UN Model Legislation on Domestic Violence.  The aggrieved can seek protection against any physical, sexual, verbal and emotional abuse or economic abuses. This law for the first time recognizes a women's right to a violence free home.  Under the Act, the right to reside in the matrimonial home/shared household was seen as a major breakthrough in women's rights in India.

Salient features of the Act are as follows:

  1. It covers those women who are or have been in a relationship with the abuser where both parties have lived together in a shared household and are related by consanguinity, marriage, a relationship in the nature of marriage, or adoption.
  2. It defines "domestic violence" to include actual abuse or the threat of abuse that is physical, sexual, verbal, emotional or economic.
  3. It confers on the aggrieved woman the right to reside in a shared household, whether or not she has any title or rights in the same.
  4. against the domestic violence;
  5. It provides for appointment of Protection Officers and recognizes and involves nongovernmental organisations as service providers for providing assistance to the abused with respect to her medical examination, obtaining legal aid, safe shelter.

Hope this helps you
