Hello!!!!

a) The process of dumping waste materials on a barren plot of land after compressing it is commonly known as landfilling. It is one of the most common methods of waste disposal. The purpose of a landfill is to bury the trash in such a way that it will be isolated from groundwater, will be kept dry and will not be in contact with air. Under these conditions, trash will not decompose much.

b) ACID RAIN: The Acid rain is a rain which is slightly acidic in nature . The PH of this rain is slightly acidic. The PH of acidic rain is 5.5 - 5.6.This is usually due to the Air pollution, burning fossil fuels, ozone layer depletion,e.t.c.

The effects due to acid rain :

  • Asthma
  • Burning sensations
  • global warming
  • ozone layer depletion
  • uneven rainfall
  • disturbance in aquatic life
  • effects on forest
  • effect on soil and agriculture
  • effect on public health e.t.c,.

C) The most important issues that are associated with the enforcement of          Environmental legislation in India includesThe polluter-pays principle, Freedom of information and the precautionary principle.
Now a days the environment that we survive is highly polluted.
The process of deforestation continues and the wild life is not protected properly even with the enforcement of many laws.
It does not mean that enforcing laws eradicate many problems.
There are still more problems that are related to the pollution of water, soil and resources of earth that are considered to be valuable.
It is very essential for the environmental legislation to take actions to overview whether laws are enforced properly.
If any one violates any of the laws strict actions must be taken by them against their acts.

D)Environmental Ethics means the moral relationship between human beings and environment.Environmental Ethics is about the how the human being is to protect the environment and atmosphere.Environment ethics teaches us how to decrease the environmental problems .It teaches us the moral values towards the environment.

Environmental Ethics are very much useful for the human beings because through this we are able to know about the future consequences which will arise in the environment if we are irresponsible.

HOPE IT HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Shudhanshu Gupta Student Expert 1st Mar, 2020
Hello.
In sense of the difficulty level ACT exam is much stronger , because the science and mathematics portion asked in the exam is of high level while in SAT exam it is not so,
For the beneficial point of view SAT exam is much weight full than ACT exam.
So you can choose accordingly.

is it necessary to give SAT, ACT and TOEFL or just SAT is fine?

Muskan 27th Feb, 2020

Hi Keya

Most four - year colleges require that all applicants , domestic and international alike , take the SAT or ACT.  If English isn't your first language , then you will likely also have to take TOEFL to apply to college. Most colleges will equally accept IELTS or PTE too. The TOEFL is most popular option.

But if you score highly enough on the verbal section of the SAT or ACT , then you might not have to take the TOEFL.

Hope it helps :)

what is rowlatt act ?why it opposed

Nikhitha Sai 19th Feb, 2020

Hello. Rowlatt act is the one that is passed during British time. This gave power to police to arrest any person without any reason. Police can just come and arrest a person without having any proper orders or reason. Since patriotism and nationalism was increasing by then, britishers passed this act to curb the nationalism in people. This act was opposed by mahatma Gandhi because not everyone should be punished in response to isolated political crimes. So Indians went on strikes, suspended businesses, held meetings. It was named as black act

Hope this helps

Regards

Nikhitha

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 29th Mar, 2020
Sri Sai Degree and PG College, Hyderabad is a private college established in the year 1992.
This college offers various Bachelor's and Masters courses in different stream. It is overall a good college for studies. As far as ragging is concerned, every college now has strict rules over ragging and every candidate signs an anti-ragging form before admission. Also, in colleges offering simple graduation there is no chances of ragging and stuff so you don't need to worry about these things.

Animesh Vats Student Expert 16th Mar, 2020

Hi,

Well I must tell you that it is vey important for students to give SAT or ACT to take admission in US colleges and universities. Even if the university mentions that it is optional, still you should give it. You can register for ACT or SAT after your high school and can given the exam and send the scores to the colleges where you will be applying for admission. I too have ACT.

How does landfilling act as an important method of waste disposal ? explain.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 1st Feb, 2020
Hello Arsh

Hope that you are doing well

Landfilling is an important method in waste disposal.

Landfills are area of land that are engineered to allow for the deposition of waste onto and into it to concentrate the waste in compacted layers and reduce the volume and then it is monitored for the control of liquid and gaseous effluent in order to protect the environment and human health.

Landfills are used for ther uses as well . For example,   municipal solid waste, faecal sludge can also be discharged into landfills , so landfill serves as important method in waste disposal

I hope that it helps you

Thankyou

My question is which state am I eligible for PG Counselling.I got ranks in both states 719 Telangana and 952 in AP.

Animesh Vats Student Expert 8th Mar, 2020

Hi,

Well the domicile depends on you doing your class 12th education from a state or having permanent residency of a state. Sometimes a student is able to take the benefit of both the states and hence if you qualify the domicile requirements then you too can take the benefit of bothe the state quota counseling.

I hope my answer helps.

All the best.

if extracellular digestion takes place then enzymes of lysozomes act on food ???how?is it autophagocytosis??

Somrita Bhattacharya 12th Jan, 2020

Hello

The following are the steps of autophagy

  • First the cell is isolated by double layer membrane
  • Then the phogosphere vesicles elongate
  • Then the vesicles bursts to release enzymes by which autophagocytosis takes place
  • Then the remnant gets attached to a lysosome which form autolysosome which completes the degradation.
