As far as cutoffs of NITs are concerned,if you want admission in top 10 NITs ,then your rank should be less than 15k  in JEE Main .It could not be said  exactly but in the range of this you will get a good nit college .

Students falling under the age group of 17-18 years generally apply for the test. But the College Board has not set any minimum or maximum age limit to register for the test which is the official conducting body of the SAT exam.
