Can we prepare SAT exam within two month ? And how we can do prepration of english section in two month. please give me good advice that i can do good score in english section.

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 30th Dec, 2020
Hello,

Sections of SAT exam :
  • Reading
  • Writing and Language
  • Math (No calculator)
  • Math (Calculator)
  • Essay (optional)
To be honest, 2 months is neither less nor enough for preparation of SAT. If you had a good academic background then you can do well.
English section is very important and equally tough, infact the toughest part.

SAT Critical Readingtests reading comprehension skills.
SAT Writingtests grammar, usage and word choice, and includes multiple-choice questions on identifying sentence errors and improving grammar and usage.
ACT Readingtests comprehension and understanding vocabulary.

Strategy to prepare :

The most important thing is to prepare your vocabulary.Read Magazines, such as The Economist, National Geographic, The New Yorker and Foreign Affairs. Make of list of words that are important for SAT, just go to Google and you will find lot of blogs, simply learn those words.
Work on grammar and brush the concepts.
Read Etmology
Give lot of online test papers .
If you feel like joining any coaching then you can consider this option as it will help you a lot.
Keep practicing and solve as many questions as you can.

I hope this helps.

Can we prepare SAT in 2 months? And how can we prepare english section with 2 month. In sat exam english is much tough then how we can got good score in English please give me some tips

Nive 30th Dec, 2020

Hello, Since SAT test your knowledge gained through all your school years it is not like you will be starting afresh now so you can get desired results if you put enough efforts in two months. There are two things you should follow beside studying

  1. Practice mock and previous papers right from the beginning, don't wait till you finish the syllabus
  2. Do give your best without fretting about the results.

For English sections reading is the key. Make a habit of reading newspapers and develop reading itself as a hobby by choosing your favorite genre to read. Spend 1/3 of your day's study time exclusively for English by practicing in a English workbook.

I have got 67% in 10th , 77% in 12th and 80% in graduation. Will i get a call from IIM or any other reputed mba offering institutes if i score Very well in Cat or Sat ? Pl guide me.

ojaswiyolo Student Expert 29th Dec, 2020

Hello

Since you have not mentioned your category I am assuming you to be from general  category. From what you have mentioned you have o work experience (internships, part times, full time etc) you do not have high chances of getting an IIM but if you score above 99.5 percentile in CAT then maybe you can get FMS Delhi (as here there is no weightage given to previous academics or work experience which is important in the PI)Try to score as high as you can and do not lose  hope, do your best! Good Luck!
