Aspirants who intend to pursue undergraduate courses in the United States and other nations take the SAT 2021 exam. From what I understand , you are trying to apply to colleges abroad for PG programs. PG programs abroad require the GRE exam or the GMAT( for management or MBA courses), and TOFL. You won't be required to give the SATs since it is only for UG courses.

The kind of preparation you should do is totally up to you and depends from individual to individual. So decide accordingly.

Every university has their own cut off and the students are required to achieve scores higher than the set score. A higher score means a higher chance of getting into a good college.

The SAT is solely used for undergraduate entrance. There is no minimum or maximum score. You don't get SAT scores either. It's only a percentile ranking. A strong score on the SAT and SAT subject tests does not guarantee admission to any university. Admission necessitates a number of factors. There is no as such minimum or maximum age devised to undertake the SAT Exam. So, even being, 19+ , you can sit for SAT Exam. There would be no problem at all. Generally, the SAT Scores are taken for admission  into the various undergraduate programs in US and few other foreign countries.
