Can u tell me something about LSAT global??And if get admission in law school abroad then can i practice my law in that country only or i have to come back to india once my studies are completed...Please clear my doubt.

Sanjanaleekha 15th Nov, 2019

Hi there,

LSAT global is an entrance test which is essentially a law entrance exam which is conducted by Law School Admission Council 4 times a year, the scores of LSAT is used by several universities in US, Canada etc for admission to the law courses there and these scores are given a lot of weightage while assessing the application for admission. Jindal Global Law School in India also accepts LSAT scores for admission in law. Now, once you have secured admission abroad and have pursued your law degree abroad then to practice in that country you need to qualify the Bar exam of that country and subsequent to clearing that Bar exam you can get enrolled as a law practitioner in that country and it is not necessary for you to return to India for practicing law, you can very well settle abroad.

Hello aspirant,

As per my knowledge, to get admission in IFIM Law college in Bangalore, you need to fulfill the eligibility criteria, which includes that the candidate must qualify either of the entrance exams (CLAT, LSAT, AILET or ILAT).

Also, the applicant should have passed PUC with atleast 45% marks.

Good luck.

is there any difference between LSAT and LSAT india exam

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 6th Nov, 2019

LSAT is technically the entrance examination for law courses in the United States. LSAT India is an unique version of LSAT, for admission in India. It is administered by Law School Admission Council. LSAT India has 2 Logical Reasoning sections,, one Analytical Reasoning and another Reading Comprehension section. Unlike the original LSAT, there are no experimental sections and no writing sample. Therefore, LSAT India is of lesser duration than that of LSAT. I am currently studying in 12th science. I wish to get into law schools of India. I what know if I can skip an year and give the exam(lsat) and get into a good law school. can I give the exam if i am 20? i havent studied anything about law. and i dont know ita procedure. can you help me with it.

pdwords Student Expert 22nd Oct, 2019
Hello,

There's no upper age limit for law, also you can pursue it after your graduation, which will be LLB for a duration of three years. So, if you don't want to go for integrated law program for a five years duration, you can skip that. If you choose to do LLB, you will also have enough time in your graduation to get well acquainted with law as a subject.

Anyway, coming to LSAT exam

LSAT exam consists of following sections -

Logical reasoning - This section will test candidates understanding to structure of relationships and to draw logical conclusions about that structure. In this section,a set of statements and rules or principles that describe relationships among persons, things, or events will be given. Analytical Reasoning questions reflect the kinds of complex analyses that a law student performs in the course of legal problem solving. This tests candidate's ability to understand the structure of relationships and draw logical conclusions about the same.

Analytical reasoning - In each question of logical reasoning, candidates will be required to read and comprehend a short passage followed by answering the questions. The questions here will assess a wide range of skills involved in thinking critically, with an emphasis on skills that are central to legal reasoning and drawing conclusions.

Reading comprehension - This contains four sets of reading questions, each consisting of a selection of reading material, followed by four to nine questions that test reading and reasoning abilities. Here, the candidate's ability to read and understand will be tested.

LSAT paper consists of 96 questions in mcq format with total being 100 marks, there's no negative marking, the paper is conducted in offline mode for a duration of 2 hours 20 minutes.

ruchi_1559283793 Student Expert 7th Jul, 2019

Hello dear,

Your chances seems to be less to get admission under lsat. the seat also depends on the category which you have not mentioned. however it will difficult to get admission even if you belong to st category. it would be better if go for other college.

Hope this would help you.
