Dear Nidhi, IELTS is a Language proficiency test taken for checking your Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills as we are non Native English Speakers. IELTS has no eligibility criteria. You can take it irrespective of your Educational qualification and aggregate in your Graduation. So IELTS has got nothing to do with your previous studies. But you need to score a minimum band of 7.5 or more for admission in a decent University. Hello Jyotsna, There is nothing like syllabus for IELTS exam. It is just a proficiency test for english language. There are 4 sections in the test: Reading, writing, speaking and listening. For the reading section, there would be an unseen passage and some questions related to that, you would need to find answers from the passage. for the listening section, you would have to answer the question based on the sound clip you hear. For the writing section, you would be needed to write two essays on the topic given. As for the speaking test, you would have to talk face to face with the instructor for about 12-15 minutes in english. I have given computer delivered IELTS myself and scored 7.0 in first attempt. I didn't do any coaching or read anything. Although i am going to give you official link for the practice tests:
