iam studying b.tech final year as mechanical engineering.how i can apply for GRE.i want to study M.S in germany.

Akansha Sharma 23rd May, 2025

To apply for the GRE, first visit the official GRE website and create an account. Choose a test date and center near you, then pay the exam fee. Prepare well using study materials and practice tests. After booking, take the GRE exam and wait for your scores. For studying M.S. in Germany, check if the universities require GRE scores—many do not. Instead, focus on language tests like IELTS or TOEFL and meet the university’s admission requirements for international students.

What is the value of writing TOEFL and GRE exams?

Sourav Sarkar Student Expert 19th Jul, 2019

Hi dear,

Hope you are doing well!

Now let's go through your question.

Basically GRE is a graduate school entrance exam while the TOEFL is a test of your English language skills.

Schools want to see GRE scores to make sure you can handle graduate-level coursework, and they want to see TOEFL scores to make sure your English skills are strong enough to do well at an English-speaking school. The many differences between the two exams are the direct result of these different purposes.

Take the GRE if you’re applying to a graduate school. Most graduate programs, particularly those that are research-based require or highly recommended GRE scores.

Take the TOEFL if English is not your native language and you didn’t graduate from a high school or undergrad program where English was the sole language of instruction.

Thank You & All the best!

to study MBA abroad you should prepare for GMAT exam and clear it, it comprises of Mathematics and English for measuring aptitude test used by the buisness schools.

You should also prepare for TOEFL if you want to study in english speaking countries which comprises of english fluency, a detailed resume is important and at last there is an interview which could be done by the third party representatives of the Universities.

To prepare just download the syllabus of GMAT and purchase a book and prepare for it. For TOEFL practice your english and you ar good to go.
