For students aiming to study in public universities, English language proficiency exams like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, and TOEIC are often required because they are specifically designed to assess English skills in an academic context, which is crucial for success in such institutions. DELF, which tests French language proficiency, may not be sufficient for English-speaking universities. For personalized guidance on which exams are necessary and how to prepare, Invicta Career Consultancy can provide valuable support and tailored advice, While there are other options available, hence you can pay a visit to their website (icclearning.com) and consult with them for better guidance. All the best to you.

Hello,

Importance of SAT & TOEFL.

In comparison to the TOEFL, the SAT points more on the reasoning for yourself and not knowledge, which is why extensively colleges expect both admission tests. While the TOEFL indicates your English status as a non-native orator, the SAT is an entrance exam in the US that infers and/or acknowledges academic scholarships.

Most non-native English orators applying to college in the U.S. will be expected to take the TOEFL and the SAT (or ACT, if you prefer). ... Since the SAT expects advanced English language abilities, it may be cause d to waive the TOEFL provision.

Now how to prepare :

  • Get to Know the Format of the TOEFL Test
  • Understand the TOEFL content. No matter which format you take, the TOEFL always has three parts: reading, listening and writing.
  • Decide which format you want to take. Note that nowadays the test is usually taken via the Internet. The paper-based test is becoming less and less popular.
  • Know Why You Are Taking the TOEFL Test
  • More than 9,000 colleges, universities, agencies and institutions accept and require the TOEFL TEST in over 130 countries.
  • Get Support from a Teacher or Peer
  • You don’t have to do this alone. You can get support from peers (other students) and teachers.

Hope this helps!!

Hello candidate,

Yes, you can definitely write the TOEFL Examination in your class 12th standard, and you can even give the Examination in your class 11th.

Moreover, you can attempt the Examination any number of times in a particular year, but provided there must be a 12 day gap in between your attempts.

Hope you found it helpful!

Dear student,

As per my knowledge, TEFL is for teachers overseas(a good idea but it seems to be geared to feed massive chain language schools like NOVA and whatnot, and those teachers are not known for their high skill) and TOEFL is for ESL students.

For students , going to abroad from india generally TOEFL is preferred.

Hi Raghavi!

TOEFL Scores are mandatory for one to apply for Scholarships! You must have a valid score in TOEFL before applying for Scholarships to study Abroad. There are various Scholarships given for Indians to study in numerous Countries. However, you must satisfy few Eligibility Criteria like required score in your 12th, decent TOEFL Score. Mostly, these 2 exams or sometimes maybe your GRE or IELTS Scores might be required depending upon the Agency you get the Scholarship from!

Hope this is helpful!

All the best!

Hi Shubham, no you don't need to sit for both the exams, you can go for either of the two. My brother had a similar query so he got in touch with experts at Leverage Edu who helped him understand everything about the exam as well as about the universities that accept IELTS and TOEFL. In fact, they also helped him with the preparation of the exam. You can get more information on this link (https://leverageedu.com/blog/IELTS/) .
