Below are the expert tips on TOEFL by ETS:

The TOEFL test is divided into four sections – Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking. Here are some useful tips to help you do your best:

1. Learn more about a favorite topic and share what you learned with a friend

Listen to Podcasts, recorded lectures, and read articles on your favorite travel destination. Determine the main idea, major points and supporting ideas being presented. Present what you learned to a friend or family member.

2. Find a speaking partner, preferably with an original English speaker or try an online video chat!

The more occasions you have to speak English, the more familiar and comfortable you will become.

3. Flash Cards

Create your own vocabulary cards and carry them wherever you go. It’s a great way to practice and pass the time!  Pull them out while traveling and use the time well.

4. Reading Tips

Summarize and paraphrase reading passages. Use outlines to assist in organizing your ideas. Practice reading to improve your comprehension. Become familiar with reading and answering questions on a computer screen as this is the format used for the TOEFL iBT test.

5. Speaking Tips

Read a short article from a newspaper or magazine aloud. Give a one-minute oral summary of the article. Express your opinion regarding the article. Do you agree or disagree with the content presented? If there is a problem discussed, outline a solution. Practice pronunciation. Speak slowly, annunciating every syllable.

6. Writing Tips

Watch your favorite television show. Write a summary of the episode. Explain the television program, the way it made you feel, and how it was similar or different from past episodes. Have a family member read your essay.

7. Make use of available free resources

ETS offers numerous free resources to assist you in studying for the TOEFL test.

8. Plan your test day

Remember the things you need at the test center such as valid photo ID, water and snacks! Pack your bag the night before and set an alarm. Have a good rest the night before the test.

Dear Sir/Mam, I want to do MS in UK in January 2021. Do i have to give both IELTS and TOEFL exams or either? I dont know when and how to start preparation. please Help. Thanks

Mayank Chowdhary 2nd Feb, 2020

Giving either of them is ok actually. And for preparations then if you plan to shift in 2021 try to give the exam in around November 2020 if possible and to start it's preparations, as per me it's a 3 months regular studies required to crack the same. So you can start in around July/August to be well prepared to give the exam.

Either the IELTS or the TOEFL is required as part of your application to an English-speaking university and will demonstrate if you will be able to understand the course material.

The IELTS and TOEFL exams are two of the most accepted English proficiency exams around the world. However, both of these tests are different in their structure, approach, and teaching criteria. This means that you need to understand how the two differ before selecting which test to study for and ultimately take.

Thank you.

All the foreign Universities offer a scholarship which is on the basis of meriat and need basis . You should try to look for it and inform the competent authority about it . They would help you in every way . They also offers 100 % scholarship to merit and need basis students.

This would help you to study abroad.

What is purpose of toefl exam???

Khusji 14th Jan, 2020

The purpose of the TOEFL iBT test is to evaluate the English proficiency of people whose native language is not English. TOEFL iBT scores are primarily used as a measure of the ability of international students to use English in an academic environment.
