High school students find this test slightly easier as the ACT exam syllabus for Indian students includes subjects that they have already studied during school.
ACT Exam: Preparation Tips
Each section of the ACT exam has a score range of 1 to 36. The ACT exam syllabus 2024 is comparatively more difficult than the SAT because of the inclusion of additional science and writing sections. The ACT Math syllabus checks the problem solving skills whereas the logical, interpretation, analysis, evaluation and reasoning skills are assessed in the other topics of ACT exam syllabus 2024. One must note that ACT exam syllabus for Indian students and international students is the same and basically assesses their capacity for logical reasoning, problem-solving, and much more. In this article, you can get complete information about the ACT exam syllabus and pattern in depth.
There are four sections in the ACT exam syllabus for Indian students and 1 optional section. The ACT exam subjects are Maths, English, and Science (optional: Writing). Students must be well versed with ACT exam syllabus to ace the test. Check out the section-wise syllabus of the ACT in the below sections.
In this section, the eligibility of the writers over English language skills is assessed. The questions are designed to check the writing and editing skills and a variety of rhetorical situations. Including an English language element is advantageous since it will accurately reflect students' interests and experiences and be suitable for assessing language and writing skills. The ACT English syllabus is broken down into three reporting categories based on certain knowledge and ability sets, as well as a total test score based on all 75 questions.
The following lists each reporting category along with the estimated proportion of the ACT test that goes towards it.
1. Production of Writing ACT Syllabus:
Candidates must use their comprehension of the goal and focus of a written work in this category.
Topic Development: Demonstrate that you are aware of and in control of the rhetorical devices used in writing. Determine the objectives of individual text passages, assess if a text or section of a text has achieved its intended purpose, and assess the material's applicability to the text's main theme.
Organisation, Unity, and Cohesion: Use various strategies to ensure that a text is logically organised, flows smoothly, and has an effective introduction and conclusion.
2. Knowledge of Language:
Candidates must exhibit proficient language usage, which includes a clear and succinct selection of language and vocabulary, as well as a consistent tone and style.
Conventions of Standard English: To answer these questions, candidates must use their knowledge of standard English syntax, usage, and mechanics to revise and edit text.
Sentence Structure and Formation: Improve writing by understanding sentence structure and formation in a text.
Punctuation: This helps enhance the writing quality by using proper English punctuation and editing.
Usage: Recognize common problems with standard English usage in a text and make revisions to improve the writing.
Assessment of mathematical skills students is a major part of the ACT syllabus 2024. The process is primarily divided into two major sections:
Preparing for Higher Math: The weight of this component on the ACT exam syllabus 2024 is between 57 and 60 percent. The purpose of the questions is to assess students' knowledge acquired in grade 12. As per the ACT exam math syllabus, the candidates are required to solve the questions based on their knowledge of real and complex number systems, linear, polynomial, radical, and exponential relationships, linear, radical, piecewise, polynomial, exponential, and logarithmic functions.
Integrating Essential Skills: This section analyses the problem-solving capability of students through understanding and skills in complex mathematical functions. This section holds a weightage of 40–43% and addresses concepts such as rates and percentages, proportional relationships, area, surface area, volume, average and median, and expressing numbers in different ways.
The ACT exam syllabus has distributed the weightage of the reading section in three major components:
Key Ideas and Details: This specific component holds the maximum weightage in the ACT exam syllabus. As it deals with tracing the main idea behind a comprehensive reading passage and highlighting the key events that will help your frame your answers.
Craft & Structure: This is the second most important aspect in the ACT reading syllabus to notice for students. The prospective test takers should be able to build a compelling narrative that has a proper flow of thoughts and is crisp at the same time. The answer should be written completely in adherence to the question that is drafted from the given passage.
Integration of Knowledge & Ideas: One might not hold a fully-equipped knowledge of the topic that might be granted as a part of the ACT exam syllabus for Reading section. However, it is important to use common sense and have basic understanding of the mentioned components which will only be possible after rigorous practise.
According to the ACT pattern 2024, the mathematics section of the ACT test takes 60 minutes to complete 60 questions. Students can claim their knowledge and understanding in Social Studies, Natural Sciences, Humanities, and Literacy Narrative or Prose Sections.
Data Representation, Research Summaries, and Conflicting viewpoints are the three major sections that hold the complete weightage of the ACT science syllabus. Through these subsections, the ability of candidates is checked in graph reading, interpretation of the information presented in tables, interpretation of scatterplots, design of experiments, and the explanation of results, analysis, understanding, and comparison of alternative hypotheses.
Here the ACT syllabus for 2024 weightage gives you the percentage of questions that belong to a specific category of each section in the ACT. Check them below.

It's up for debate whether the ACT or SAT is simpler because both tests are meant to determine a student's level of academic preparedness for college. However, the ACT exam syllabus is comparatively more difficult than the SAT because of the inclusion of an additional writing section.
In the US, standardised tests like the ACT are frequently taken for college admissions. Reading, science, maths, and English are the four subject areas it covers. Several factors determine whether the ACT is a challenging exam, such as the test-taker's academic background, familiarity with the format, and ability to manage their time well.
Scores for the ACT exam range from 1 to 36. On this scale, the four sections—English, Math, Reading, and Science—are scored separately. The composite score is the mean of the scores from the four sections.
The process of preparing for the ACT, a standardised test used for college admissions in the US, is known as test preparation. Students' knowledge in four areas is evaluated by the ACT: science, reading, math, and English.

Hello Priya,
Let us assume two forces F1 and F2.
In the question , there are two conditions given and accordingly we need to solve the equations by forming two equations.
In the first condition, the angle between two forces is 90 degree so apply the formula for the resultant which is =
F1^2 + F2^2 +2F1F2 *cos 90 = 10^2 - - - (i)
In the second condition the equation will come out to be :-
F1^2 + F2^2 + 2 F1F2 cos 60 = (√13)^2 - - - 2
So from the first get the value of F1 in terms of F2 and substitute in the second equation and a quadratic equation will be formed.

Hello aspirant,
Yes, if you are registered with the state bar council, you can practice law before clearing AIBE . However, in such a case, you will have to clear AIBE within two years from the date of registration at the state bar council. Since you have mentioned that you have cleared LLB in 1996, then it is not compulsory for you to give AIBE.
In the State Bar Council Meeting, the Bar Council passed a resolution that the "Right to practice" exam, popularly known as AIBE, is no more mandatory for the lawyers registering themselves in any state of the country.
Furthermore, the eligibility criteria to give AIBE Exam is as mentioned below : Candidates should hold 3 years or 5 years LL. B. degree from a BCI recognized law school. One should note that there is no minimum percentage to qualify in the examination in order to register for the AIBE exam.
Further, to know more about the AIBE Exam you can follow the link below to know more about it : https://law.careers360.com/exams/aibe'
I hope that this will help.
