How to Apply Through UCAS 2024?

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in the UK can register in the UCAS Hub and complete the registration questions, along with confirming the year they want to start their studies. Students will then be taken to their UCAS Hub dashboard, where click ‘Start’ under the tile called ‘Your application’ to begin your application.

While completing the application, applicants must make sure that their first, last, and middle names are the same as those mentioned on official documents, such as passports, birth certificates, or driving licenses.

Note: If you only have one name, enter it in both the first name and last name fields on the application.

How to Apply Through UCAS as an International Student?

To apply through UCAS, follow the instructions mentioned below:

Step 1: Add Academic Qualifications for UCAS Registration

You must submit all of your qualifications from secondary school onwards, whether you have the results (even if they were ungraded) or are still waiting for exams and results.

If you are waiting for results, these are the exams that can be processed and submitted to universities and institutions abroad. If any of your pending qualifications are not on this list, you still need to include them in your application.

If you attended a university or college but did not complete the course, you still have to enter this information. Include the start and end dates, and confirm that you did not obtain any qualifications.

• Pending resits: If you are retaking the exam at a previous school/college/centre, it is necessary to mention it again on your application. However, you simply need to specify your attendance dates as the days on which you will take the resit(s).

• Achieved resits: This includes the school/college/centre in your application separately, with attendance dates representing the dates you resat the exam(s). You must also indicate that your attendance was part-time. You can then enter the qualification(s) with the final grade(s) you received from resitting.

Step 2: Complete your Employment History for UCAS Application

If you have had any paid jobs, full-time or part-time, this is where you can add information on up to five of them. Include company names, addresses, job descriptions, and start and end dates.

Please add all unpaid or voluntary work in your personal statement instead of writing it here. If you do not have any paid work experience, simply leave this part blank and mark it complete.

Step 3: Select your course choices

You can select up to five courses. There is no preference order, and universities/colleges will not know where else you have applied until you respond to any offers you receive.

Step 4: Write a personal statement for UCAS Application

This is the only section of the application where you can write in your own speech, it is a chance to tell universities and colleges why you want to study with them, along with what skills and experience you have. It must be at least 1,000 characters long, but you are allowed a maximum of 4,000 characters/47 lines, whichever comes first.

Step 5: Submit your application
