About BS Economics And Quantitative Methods

Indiana University (IU), Bloomington offers a four-year full-time BS Economics And Quantitative Methods programme. Students can apply for the BS Economics And Quantitative Methods programme thrice a year- summer, fall and spring. BS Economics And Quantitative Methods programme comprises core economic theory in microeconomics as well as macroeconomics. Admission and Application

Direct admissions are offered to the College of Arts and Sciences by Indiana University, Bloomington. Direct Admission allows students to begin their studies at the very start of their freshman year. Early entrance provides access to academic advisors, departmental resources and others. Admission to BS Economics And Quantitative Methods programme is offered on the basis of SAT or ACT score and GPA or class rank. It is to be noted that only ten percent of the students are given direct admissions. The rest of the students have to start with University Division (UD). 

How to Apply

  • Students have to apply to the ‘Arts + Sciences Undergraduate Research Experience’ as a Direct Admit applicant.

  • For direct admission, students have to indicate a major in the College of Arts and Sciences on the application.

  • Students have to show minimum required GPA and SAT/ACT scores.

  • Instead of the GPA and SAT/ACT scores, direct admission is also based on students’ performance in academic coursework, personal achievements, quality of application essay and extracurricular activities. 

  • Students have to create an IU computing account.

  • After that, students have to log in and fill the application form.

  • Complete the application form and pay a non-refundable application fee of $65.

  • Students can also apply for fee waiver.

  • Students are informed about their direct admission on their registered email ID after six weeks of admission to IU. 

  • To check the application status, students can log in to One.IU.

Eligibility

The following eligibility criteria is required for the BS Economics And Quantitative Methods programme admission. CASE is an acronym for College of Arts and Science Education requirements. BS Economics And Quantitative Methods programme admission requires CASE in English Composition, Mathematical Modeling, Arts and Humanities, Natural and Mathematical Sciences, Social and Historical Studies, Diversity in the United States, Critical Approaches, Foreign Language, Intensive Writing and Public Oral Communication. International students also have to meet additional requirements in English language like SAT/ACT/IELTS/PTE/MET/Duolingo/Cambridge English and so on. 

  • Candidates should have a college grade point average (GPA) of 2

  • Credit hours from a College discipline- 100

  • Credit hours at the 300—499 level- 36

  • Credit hours in the College at IUB- 36
