About University of California

University of California, United States was established in 1905. The university was initially named as University Farm from 1905–1922 and then later changed to Northern Branch of the College of Agriculture (1922–1938) and College of Agriculture at Davis (1938-1959). The faculty of UC Davis are members of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Law Institute, the Institute of Medicine, and the National Academy of Engineering.
