Yale School of Management was established as a part of the Yale University to offer management programmes to students who could make effective use of it in the business, government, and nonprofit sectors. The school started with its first set of students in 1976. The school changed its name to the Yale School of Management in 1994. Later, in 1999 the school started to offer the master of business administration (MBA) degree and then in 2005, the school also established an executive MBA programme in the field of healthcare leadership. The MBA programme was later broadened to include other areas like asset management and sustainability.
