About Harvard Business School

Harvard Business School (HBS), Boston was founded in 1908 as a part of the Harvard University for offering business education. It was established as the world’s first MBA programme with a capacity of 33 regular students, 47 special students and having a faculty of 15 people. Later, in 1922 the HBS also introduced the doctoral programme. In the year 1924, a separate business school campus was also constructed and the academic departments of business management got shifted there. In 2013, Harvard Business School Online was also formed to offer academic programmes in areas including Financial Accounting, Business Analytics, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Business Strategy, Data Science, Big Data, Financial Analytics, Healthcare Economics, Marketing, Negotiation etc.

Harvard Business School, Boston Admission Procedure-

  • Students looking for admissions have to apply on the official portal of Harvard University.
  • Application forms have to be downloaded from the official website.
  • Submission of application forms must be done after attaching all required documents and by paying the fees.
  • Students also have to submit their GRE or GMAT scores.
  • Candidates will be called for admissions after their application forms get accepted.
  • Before getting admissions, students also have to get their documentation done and pay the admission fee.

Harvard Business School Eligibility

  • For applying, students must submit documents like proof of previous academic qualifications, letters of recommendation, a personal statement, resume etc.
  • International students must have English as their first language or else they need to submit scores of the English proficiency test such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) or Test of English Academic PTE (Academic).
  • For admissions to undergraduate programmes, applicants need to complete their high school education and for admissions to graduate programmes, candidates need to complete their bachelor’s degree from any recognised institute or university in any relevant discipline.
