About Milken Institute School of Public Health
The Milken Institute School of Public Health was established in the year 1997 to offer programmes in public health at George Washington University. It is also known as the School of Public Health, Milken School, or SPH. All the programmes offered by SPH are accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). In addition to that, the programme in health services administration is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). - Students have to complete their high school for admissions to undergraduate programmes and for admissions to graduate programmes, students must have a bachelor’s degree in any relevant subject.
- Submission of GRE scores for master programmes is not mandatory but admissions to PhD programmes and MS in Epidemiology programme required GRE scores.
- Candidates must also submit transcripts of all previous colleges attended.
- Other documents like letters of recommendation, a personal statement, a resume or cv also need to be submitted.
- For admissions to Doctor of Public Health (DrPH), PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Master of Health Administration (MHA), students also have to clear an in-person or virtual interview.
- International applicants need to prove their efficiency in the English language by submitting scores of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic).
- Scores more than two years old will not be considered by the university.
