About Dartmouth College

Dartmouth College was established in 1769 as a member of the Ivy League. The college was formed with the aim of providing education to the students and preparing them for leadership and learning. Dartmouth has four academic divisions under its administration like the Geisel School of Medicine, the Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies, Thayer School of Engineering, and the Tuck School of Business. The Geisel School of Medicine has programmes like biomedical sciences and public health apart from the MD degree. The Frank J. Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies offers graduate programmes in Arts and Sciences. The Thayer School of Engineering offers graduate programmes in Engineering Sciences. The Tuck School of Business offers MBA degree as well as executive education and a number of non degree programmes.

Dartmouth College, Hanover Admission Procedure-

  • To get Dartmouth College, Hanover admissions, students have to apply on the official website of the university.
  • Submit all the application forms with all documents and make the payment of fees.
  • Applicants might also submit ACT or SAT for getting undergraduate admissions.
  • For students applying to graduate admissions, they might have to submit scores of GRE.
  • Students will get Dartmouth College admissions after completing their documentation and admission fee payment.

Dartmouth College Eligibility

  • Applicants must have few documents while applying for admission like official transcripts, resume, letters of recommendation, a personal statement etc.
  • Students need to have English as their first language, otherwise they need to have a proof of any English proficiency test like the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic).

Dartmouth has various libraries including the Baker-Berry Library, Rauner’s Special Collections Library, Dana Biomedical Library and Matthews-Fuller Health Sciences Library, Feldberg Business and Engineering Library, Paddock Music Library, Jones Media Center, Sherman Art Library, Kresge Physical Sciences Library and Evans Map Room. The Baker Berry Library has humanities and social sciences collections, classrooms, study and social spaces, several academic centers, a letterpress studio, and more. Rauner’s Special Collection holds a collection of 100,000 rare books, millions of manuscripts, and the extensive Dartmouth College Archives. Dana Biomedical Library and Matthews-Fuller Health Sciences Library holds a huge collection of books and materials of health and life sciences. The Paddock Music Library has music-related collections, including musical scores, sound and video recordings, and journals. Sherman Art Library has printed and digital resources of art history and studio art. The Kresge Physical Sciences Library holds a good collection of resources of physical sciences including earth sciences, environmental studies, chemistry, mathematics, computer science, and physics and astronomy. Lastly, the Evans Room holds a collection of 189,000 sheet maps, the latest mapping software, and an extensive collection of atlases, books, journals, globes, and photos supporting disciplines from geography to linguistics

Dartmouth College offers various sports facilities to the students of the college. It offers 35 intercollegiate varsity sports including18 women's, 16 men's, one coed at the NCAA Division I level, and 35 club sports.
