The BA Hons English program offers a well-rounded education in English literature, while also providing opportunities to delve into other art forms such as music and film. In the first year, students have to study two compulsory papers-
In the second year, the course structure includes one compulsory paper (English Literature and its contexts 1300-1550) and any other three papers from the below list.
However, one of these papers (with the exception of Early Medieval Literature and its Contexts 1066-1350) can be replaced by a dissertation.
Third year includes two compulsory papers-
In addition to the above compulsory papers, it is mandatory to complete a dissertation with a word count of 6,000-7,500. Alternatively, students may also choose to submit a second dissertation of the same length and also select one optional paper, or opt for two optional papers instead from the following list.

Applications from students who are completing Class XII school leaving qualifications from any exam board will be considered competitive only if they are accompanied by additional qualifications.
