About ICD Business School

ICD (International College Dublin) Business School was established in 2001 for the purpose of providing high-quality, third-level qualifications in Business and Accounting to both EU and non-EU students. The college is located at South Great George’s Street, Dublin City Centre in the Republic of Ireland which is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the world. The school has partnerships with many organisations including Student Sport Ireland, CES, ICOS, ACCA, QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland), Education In Ireland, and PAT. 

ICD Business School offers undergraduate, postgraduate and a short-term course for the students. The tuition fee for overseas students ranges between ₹6.74 L - ₹10.79 L/yr. Programmes offered at ICD include Certificate In Project Management, MA In Accounting And Finance, BA (Honours) Accounting And Finance, BA (Honours) Business Studies, and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting & Financial Services.

Documents Required for ICD Business School Admission

All candidates seeking admission to ICD must submit the required documents along with the application form. The documents are:

ICD Business School Scholarship

To promote the excellent quality of Irish education internationally, ICD Business School, with Education in Ireland, awards Scholarships to learners from less developed countries. As of 2019, ICD Business School has established a Waiving of Fees Fund in 2002. If any student wishes to apply for assistance with their fees, they will receive all the financial assistance possible. Scholarships are administered by the Directors of ICD and are offered to learners who have financial difficulties but have shown excellent academic results. The college also provides a Student of the Year Award every year, at ICD’s Annual Graduation Ceremony. This award is presented to all students who excel in their studies.

ICD Business School Eligibility

All applicants must have English Language proficiency, ICD Business School requires IELTS at 6.0 or an equivalent English Language tests such as  TOEFL, Cambridge, Pearson Academic Test and QQI’s TIE are also considered.  

For Certificate in Project Management (Including Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate)

  • Candidates must hold a National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) award at Level 7.

  • Mature candidates (above 23 years of age) who do not hold a NFQ award at Level 7 but possess 36 months’ experience leading projects and intermediate working knowledge of computers 

  • If English is not the native language, students must show their English level proficiency.  

For BA (Honours) Accounting and Finance and BA (Honours) Business Studies

  • Candidates must meet the college’s standard entry and RPL requirements.

  • Candidates applying with Leaving Certificate results prior to 2017 should have 2C3’s at Honours Level and 4D3’s at Pass Level to include English & Mathematics

  • Candidates applying with Leaving Certificate results from 2017 onwards must have a minimum of 2 subjects at grade H5 (or higher) and 4 subjects at grade O6 (or higher) in the Leaving Certificate and must include English and Maths.

For MA in Accounting and Finance and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting & Financial Services

  • Learners should meet the college’s standard entry and RPL requirements.

  • Candidates must have a minimum Primary Degree at level 8 (NQF) in Accounting and Finance (or cognate discipline such as Economics, Mathematics, or Business)

  • Applicants should have completed all 9 papers in the fundamental stage of ACCA (F1 to F9 inclusive) and have a Primary Degree at level 8 (NQF) in a Business area or equivalent Accredited Prior Learning (APL).

Note: Candidates who do not meet its basic entry requirements for individual stages can also apply on the basis of demonstrated RPL/APL/APEL.

ICD Business School provides an open-door policy in all classrooms when they are not in use so that students have more than enough study areas.

Library

ICD Business School Library allows students to access books, magazines, e-books, computers with updated software packages, and journals. Students can also relax and research in study areas. The library also offers printing facilities, an overhead projector and an integrated sound system for multimedia presentations, training sessions and many more.

Laboratories

The college provides computer labs for both class tutorials and for use by students in studying and doing assignments. All the labs have full internet access with antivirus protection to keep files and data safe

ICD has various sports teams or clubs such as Neptune Rowing Club and an ICD partner sports club. ICD Business School is a member of Student Sport Ireland which coordinates the Inter Varsities competitions. ICD’s athletes and sports teams gives opportunities to students to meet and compete with students from other colleges across the country.

ICD provides an accessible and affordable car parking for all students and faculty which is at less than two minutes from the front door of the campus.

ICD offers various transport facilities such as Dublin Bus, Luas, Dublin Bikes, and Irish Rail to travel all over Ireland. DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) are also used as a mode of transportation in Dublin and Wicklow.

Disabled students are provided toilet facilities which are accessible on all floors of the building. It is the policy of ICD Business School to support the participation of learners with disabilities on all courses. For this, ICD has inclusive educational platforms to make alternative arrangements such as module lecturers to accommodate different learning needs.

ICD Business School Accommodation

ICD Business School does not provide accommodation to its students. ICD provides an updated list of student friendly accommodations, which can help students to find short-term or long-term accommodations. Students need to contact Joyce (the Registrar) or June (Student Liaison Manager) to secure accommodation and receive advice on locations, travel arrangements, and the rules & regulations for rental accommodation in Ireland. Students can look for off campus accommodation in the following ways:

Signing A Lease - Students can look for rental accommodation on a lease agreement, usually for 9 or 12 months. 

Host Families - Learners at ICD can also choose to live with a host family, which means living in the same house as a local family. Students are provided with a room of their own.
