About Hanken School of Economics

Hanken School of Economics is a business school that was established in 1909. Hanken has four different departments under its administration including the Department of Finance and Economics, the Department of Management and Organisation, the Department of Marketing, Department of Accounting and Commercial Law. The Centre for Languages and Business Communication which comes under Hanken offers good language skills to improve the communication skills in Swedish, Finnish, EnglishFrenchGermanRussian and Spanish.

Hanken School of Economics Admission and Application

  • For getting admissions, students must register on the website of Hanken School of Economics.
  • Before applying, students must register on the website and download the application forms for admissions.
  • All registration forms must be submitted after attaching all requisite documents and by paying the required amount of application fee.
  • Students must also have to submit their GRE or GMAT scores for certain courses.
  • The authority will review the application forms based on test scores and various eligibility factors.
  • Hanken School of Economics admissions will be given to students after document verification and payment of admission fees.

Hanken School of Economics Eligibility

  • Students applying for bachelor programmes must have completed their high school education and applicants applying for master programmes need to complete their undergraduate study in any relevant discipline or equivalent from any recognised institute or university.
  • International students need to submit scores of the English proficiency test such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System Academic (IELTS Academic) or Cambridge  C1 Advanced or Cambridge C2 Proficiency or PTE Academic.
  • Students can also submit scores of The Finnish National Certificate of Language Proficiency YKI test in English and students must also keep in mind that Hanken will not accept any scores which are more than two years old.
  • The applicants must also submit other official documents like previous academic transcripts, a personal statement, a resume etc.

Library

The library of Hanken School of Economics is well equipped with books and materials having all information and resources related to business, economics, finance and marketing. All the study materials are available in both printed and digital formats. Students can access e-books and borrow books through their library cards. Librarians are also available to guide and help the students in case they need any help regarding finding any informative resources. However, the library also offers other additional services like printing, scanning, photocopying etc. The library remains open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm from Monday to Friday and remains closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

I.T Infrastructure

Hanken offers IT services to the students and faculty of the college and they can access it by logging in through their Hanken user-id and password. Once a student becomes a part of the Hankel School of Economics they will get an email about all the information about their user ID and password through which they can access the internet and avail of other IT services.
