PTE Academic Exam Pattern 2019- Pearson- the PTE AcademicTM conducting body prescribes the exam pattern of PTE Academic 2019. The focus of the PTE Academic exam pattern 2019 is for aspirants who plan to study abroad but hail from countries where English is not the native language. PTE Academic 2019 test measures candidates on four language skill sets, namely the writing, speaking, reading, and listening. According to the PTE Academic 2019 test pattern, the writing and the speaking modules are integrated into one; Reading and Listening modules are designed separately. All the test takers are evaluated on the basis of the aggregate score obtained from the PTE Academic test. The total duration of the PTE Academic 2019 test is of three hours and the mode of the exam is computer-based. PTE Academic Exam Pattern 2019 - Part 1: Speaking & Writing 

PTE Academic 2019 test evaluates both the writing and speaking abilities of an aspirant. Candidates are asked to repeat sentences, answer questions and summarise given paragraphs. The speaking section 1 contains a personal introduction part where the candidates have to introduce themselves within 30 seconds. However, this item is not scored, but it gives the candidates a chance to introduce themselves to the institute. On the computer screen the candidates can see a recording box and after a beep or tone, they are asked to speak immediately. Similarly, there are many other items such as repeating a sentence or describing an image seen on the screen.

Note- Candidates should note that apart from the Listening and Speaking sections, there is also a summary section (given in the table) where candidates are allotted 10 minutes, in which they have to read a paragraph and answer the questions. Candidates also have to write an essay in this section to get examined for their writing ability (mentioned in the table).

Note- As one can see in the table above, candidates are given 10 minutes to summarise their answers. Candidates have to carefully listen to the audio recording which will be heard only once and then construct their answer. They must make sure that the summary is within 50-70 words (Summarize spoken text). After that candidates have to listen to a recording and answer multiple-choice questions (Multiple Choice, Multiple Answer). They can select the answers from various options available on the screen; the selected response will be highlighted in yellow.

As per the exam pattern of PTE Academic 2019, Part 3 of the PTE Academic test comprises various items. For example, candidates need to read the text and choose only a single answer from multiple questions. It is advisable for candidates to completely read the instructions given on the screen before beginning the respective sections. Candidates must make sure not to go over the word limit specified on the screen.

PTE Academic is a computer-based test for evaluating the English language proficiency of the non-native English speakers who are aspiring to study abroad or seeking immigration. The result of PTE 2019 Academic test is available within five business days. The three-hour PTE Academic test 2019 appraises a real-life measure of test takers’ language ability and the PTE Academic 2019 score is accepted for admission to several institutions across the world, including countries like – Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA.

The PTE (Pearson Language Test) is an English language assessment test for non-native English speakers. PTE Exams are conducted throughout the year. There are no specific eligibility criteria related to academic qualification. However, candidates need to be at least 16 years of age before they appear for the PTE Academic test.

Your chances to get admission are very slim but people have got amission in these bands. You might have to give english proficiency exam in canada, you can give the exam again and try to aim overall score 7 and no less than 6.5.

Some of the institutes which started accepting PTE in Canada are: Centennial Centennial College, Humber College, Seneca College, George Brown, St. Lawrence College, Langara College.

Yes Gagan. Northern College at Pures-Toronto, Scarborough accepts PTE (Pearson Test of English) Academic. It requires a score of 58+ for diploma/ certificate programs. For postgraduate diploma/ certificate programs, they require a score of 60+. Similarly, Advanced standings require a score of 60+.
