Best Ways to Prepare for IELTS

IELTS Preparation requires smart work, not just hard work. If your goal is to achieve a higher band score in IELTS 2025, then follow the points below.

1. Trust the official Study Materials: The biggest mistake the test takers make is not following a specific platform for preparation; they normally run to each place to gather information for the IELTS, and this step leaves them with no results. It’s important for them to follow trusted platforms for the preparation because in this digital era, not everything is written the correct information.

2. Practice with official IELTS Material: Preparation is incomplete without the mock tests, vocabulary and the model answers, and for that, each candidate should rely on the trusted model answers, practice sets.

3. Make an English Environment: To achieve a higher band score, it’s important to create an English environment in your daily life. Read English newspapers, listen to international podcasts, watch English interviews with subtitles, and try to speak or think in English daily. It will help you improve your vocabulary.

4. Get Feedback From a Trainer or Study Partner: Self-evaluation has limits, especially in the Writing and Speaking sections. Getting feedback from a qualified IELTS trainer or an experienced peer can highlight areas you’re overlooking. They can correct your grammar, suggest better vocabulary, and help you structure essays or answers more effectively. Regular speaking practice with a partner also boosts your confidence.

Hello,

It depends on the university you are applying to. Most German universities do not require GATE for admission to a Master's in Biotechnology. However, some universities may ask for the GRE , especially if you are applying to a highly competitive program.

You should check the specific admission requirements of the universities you are interested in. Generally, having IELTS (or TOEFL) and a German language proficiency certificate (if the course is in German) is enough.

Hope it helps !

If you have completed a master's degree in the UK, you might still need to take the IELTS test to qualify for a Permanent Residency (PR) or Work Visa in Australia. While your degree from an English-speaking country like the UK may demonstrate your proficiency in English, Australian immigration authorities typically require a standardized English language test score, such as IELTS, to assess your language skills formally.

For better guidance, Invicta Institute can provide you with detailed information and assistance regarding the specific English language requirements for Australian PR or Work Visa applications. Invicta's experienced counselors can help you navigate the process and determine if your UK degree suffices or if you need to take the IELTS test.
