GMAT Focus Edition 2024: Dates, Registration, Fees, Pattern, Result

The GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) that conducts the GMAT exam - focus edition does not have eligibility criteria for the GMAT exam. However, candidates planning to take the GMAT focus edition exam must have a government ID at the time of the exam. GMAT exam eligibility criteria 2024 is mentioned below. 

• Age: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, those between the age of 13 to 17 years must provide a parental consent.

• Identity proof: Test takers must provide a valid passport, driving license or other identification documents issued by the government of India.

• Academic Qualification: Students must have an undergraduate degree to study masters abroad.

The application process for the GMAT focus edition is similar to the current GMAT exam registration. For GMAT exam focus edition registration, candidates have to register for the mba.com account where a few personal and academic details need to be submitted and candidates need to upload the required documents. Once the account is created the candidate can book the slot through which the GMAT exam date, GMAT test centre, and timings for the GMAT focus can be selected based on convenience.

GMAT Slot Booking

After registering for the GMAT exam, one needs to book the slot for the GMAT exam and pay the fee. The step-wise GMAT slot booking process has been mentioned below, one can check the same for their reference. 

• Step 1: One needs to log in to the official website, with their GMAT login credentials
• Step 2: Then, select the preferred GMAT exam date and nearest test centre and confirm exam details
• Step 3: After entering the valid details, one needs to pay the GMAT registration fee and complete your GMAT Slot booking.

GMAT Exam Fees 2024

The GMAT exam fee in India is USD 300 approximately Rs. 25,060 for the online format and USD 275 approximately Rs. 22,975 for the test centre format. Additionally, applicants must pay a rescheduling or cancellation fee if they intend to change or cancel their 2024 GMAT exam date. Students who fail to attend their scheduled exam will be charged the full GMAT exam fee.

The GMAT can be only attempted online as computer based test. The new GMAT focus edition format consists of only 3 sections each with a time limit of up to 45 minutes. A new section called data insights is introduced by removing the previous Integrated Reasoning and Analytical Writing Assessment section. Consequently, the time duration has also been decreased by 1 hour from the existing GMAT test. During the GMAT exam, the candidate can review any question by bookmarking them and can edit up to 3 answers per section. In the GMAT focus, the sequence of attempting the three sections is up to the choice of the candidate.

Test pattern of GMAT Focus Edition

The GMAT practice tests and sample questions are available on the mba.com website. These online GMAT  tests follow the same scoring algorithm which will be followed for the original GMAT focus edition. Through the GMAT focus edition practice test, candidates will be able to analyse the preparation level and get to know their strengths and weaknesses before the actual exam.

The results for the GMAT exam will be released within 7-20 business days in your mba.com account. The overall score for the GMAT exam - focus edition ranges from 205 -805 for all the 3 sections, whereas the previous GMAT score ranged between 200-800. The ending digit of the GMAT focus score will be 5 which clearly differentiates the GMAT score report from the current GMAT version.
