With 16 yrs of education and 1 yr of work experience can one apply for MBA PROGRAMS in USA (With GMAT AND TOEFL) ?

Shraya Singh 6th Aug, 2018

Hi Runu,

Yes you can apply for MBA programs in the USA with 16 years of education and 1 year of work experience as well as the GMAT and TOEFL.

But the scores of these tests and the duration of your work experience plays a major role in your admission determination.

For many of the top B-schools in the USA, a candidate requires:

  • A GMAT score of 650+ on a 200-800 point scale.
  • A TOEFL iBT score of 100+

The average work experience for top B-school admittants is approximately 5 years of work experience.

Harshita Malladi 24th Jun, 2018

Hi,

TOEFEL is a test that gives information about how proficient you are in English language. Most foreign universities require that you give TOEFEL or some accept IELTS scores too. Along with this exam you can give GRE(MS) or GMAT(MBA) too.

Hey i am a pharmacy student want to pursue clinical research from abroad..what is the criteria and which university will be the best?

bhavya banthia 13th Jun, 2018

If you have completed B.Pharma then I think you could:

  1. Get adequate domestic experience and try for middle east
  2. Try to get Pharmacy assistant/trainee positions in middle east and then write the examination (Aster Pharmacy conducts recruitment for freshers and those with basic experience for the post of dispensing pharmacist trainee)
  3. Go for higher studies in Canada, US or Australia and thereby upgrade your academic qualification and professional skills
  4. Attempt examinations like those of Australia, whose initial stage I heard could be written from Banglaore. (Please explore that option online to conform)
  5. Choose Master’s program in India if you could get into one of the top 10 listed by NIRF MHRD, National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF) (Please don’t go for Pharm D Post Baccalaureate as it neither gives you time to completely focus on clinical side (therapeutics 1,2 and 3 in 3rd year), nor on research side(thesis of 6 months in 4th year) and an extra year of a pseudo “internship” for which we have to pay the entire fee and receive a meager stipend if any)

All the very best…
