Graduate Record Exam
Hello Alana,
You have not mentioned which country you want to do your PhD from, but if we talk broadly then to pursue PhD from abroad, basically you have to appear in the general test exams like GRE or the exam conducted to test your knowledge about the course you are willing to pursue. With this you have to pass Language Proficiency Test like IELTS.
If you are thinking to do it from USA then GRE and IELTS will be your exams to decide your potential.
In New Zealand , only language test is required and rest your past records of graduation will be seen.
Similarly, for some other countries, other exams are the way of selection to their universities, which you have clear for admission.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the very best!

A simple answer will address your question: the admittance rate at MIT in 2018 was 7.2 percent, which is extremely difficult. MIT's GRE average scores are as follows:
Verbal: 155-163 on the GRE
Quantitative GRE: 155-167
4.5-5.0 on the GRE AWA
A higher quant score is required for engineering or math-related programs.
A better verbal score is required for an anthropology or verbal related program.
Hope this helps

Hey Vedansh!
You can write GRE anytime you want. To write the exam you must have a valid passport ID and the fee payment for exam. GRE ( Graduate Record examination) is an exam for the students who are seeking to pursue Masters and PhD in USA or other contries. GRE marks are valid till 5 years. However, to pursue master's from any country you must have bachelor's degree so I would suggest you to write SAT before GRE if you are planning to pursue undergraduation from abroad.
Hope I answered your query, thankyou!
Dear Student,
In Canada, GRE is required for master's level admission, and some universities and programs may need a good score in the test too. The students who intend to study business don't require appearing for GRE exam. There is no such qualification for appearing for GRE examination.
In Australia, GRE is not required compulsory to study there. However some universities in Australia require it for MBA admissions. While this score is not compulsory but it can be helpful if a student seeks scholarship opportunities.
Thank You.
hi,
see there is no disadvantage to study for integrated b.tech+mba course. generally students appear for GRE/ TOEFEL exam at the final year of study to apply for abroad university for higher study. to be selected in tier 1 college apart from gre score your academic records, letter of recommendation, project or research work publications are also added scores for your profile. gre score is valid for five years , so you may appear in gre exam at third year.
now coming to gre score there is separate section of logical reasoning and quantitative , the GRE total score ranges from 260-340, so 320 + is considered excellent score.
Dear Aspirant,
Foreign universities like harvard dont give admission only on based of academics score , academics score matters no doubt but only upto level . Things which are considered mainly are extracircular activities ,STATEMENT OF PURPOSE(what you will to their university and country), Letter of recommendation and yes good band in proficiency test like ILETS . Harvard universities is very top notch and competition is very high , thats y make other backups too.
