University of California, Irvine, or ICU was founded in the year 1965 and is considered as the youngest member of the renowned Association of American Universities. The campus of the University of California, Irvine is proud to have produced three Nobel laureates. This university is known for its academic achievement, innovation, anteater mascot, and premier research. ICU is basically led by Chancellor Howard Gillman and has 20+ degree programs that are taught. It’s located in one of the world’s safest places, California which has economically vibrant communities and is known for contributing $5 billion in a year to the local economy. Also, the University of California courses are fostered in 13 fields including, Arts, business, Education, Humanities, interdisciplinary studies, and more.
There are 2 different types of UC admission requirements for getting admitted to the undergraduate, and graduate programs at the University of California, Irvine. The steps have been mentioned below for both these programs.
For Undergraduate Students
Step 1: It is necessary to visit the official university website: https://admissions.uci.edu/apply/how.php.
Step 2: Next, they will have to start the admission process by filling up the online application form.
Step 3: When the form is filled up next students will have to pay a nonrefundable application fee of $80 for international applicants, and $70 for domestic applicants.
Step 4: Around four weeks after the university receives a candidate’s application, they will review it properly.
Step 5: Then the students can sit back, and check out the different financial aids available.
Step 6: Then if the students are selected they will be informed, and will be asked to submit official documents like transcripts or letters of recommendation.
For Graduate Students
Step 1: Candidates are required to visit the university's official website: https://grad.uci.edu/admissions/applying-to-uci/index.php.
Step 2: Next, they will have to start by filling up the online application form by choosing a specific degree.
Step 3: When the form is filled up next students will have to pay a non-refundable application fee of $120 for U.S. citizens, and $140 for all other applicants.
Step 4: Next, candidates will be needing to submit GRE and TOEFL or IELTS scores
Step 5: Then the students will have to provide documents like transcripts, and letters of recommendation.
Step 6: Next, the candidates will have to submit other supplemental materials if required by the UCI.
Step 7: The candidates will be informed of their admission through the email address that had provided during filling their application form.
