    University of Glasgow Admission and Application

    Students need to submit an application to be considered for the University of Glasgow admission. The crucial steps are described below that will ensure that the admissions procedure runs without a hitch.

    Undergraduate programs

    Students applying full-time can apply via UCAS or via the link for the ‘common app’ present on the site.

    • Click on the study option present on the main homepage, then on the ‘undergraduate study’ option, and finally on “How to apply” under the undergraduate study.

    Via UCAS

    • Browse courses before selecting a subject in the degree finder.
    • Register and open a new application and enter all the essential details.
    • Choose the preferred study mode and the start date, and attach the required documents.
    • Verify before submitting the application.

    Via ‘common app’

    • Create an account, sign in, and browse the preferred course.
    • Start an application, enter all the necessary information, and attach the required documents
    • And click on apply, and before applying, check out the scholarships and visa procedure.

    Postgraduate programs

    Students can apply directly to the university on the respective course pages.

    • Go to the university website- gla.ac.uk.
    • Log in, browse the courses, and choose a preferred course.
    • Finalize the mode of teaching- taught or research and either online or offline.
    • Click on Apply to start a new application and enter all the necessary information also attach the required documents.
    • Before submitting check the visa procedure and scholarships available based on the country.

    Documents required
    The candidates need to submit a specified set of documents to be considered for the University of Glasgow admission. Additionally, the students must verify the documentation that must be submitted before turning them in.

    • Scanned copies of degree transcripts and certificates in the color of the original document
    • One reference or letter of recommendation on the headed paper (applicants to Doctorate in Education must provide two references)
    • A copy of the UK student visa

    University of Glasgow Eligibility

    Students from India

    UG- Central Board (CISCE or CBSE) or other state boards with 75% overall, and 75% in key subjects, although certain degree courses require a higher standard.

    PG- Master degrees from Indian central, state, or leading deemed and private universities.

    Students from Brazil

    UG- Vestibular / ENEM / PAS for admission into Glasgow’s foundation program, which is run by Glasgow International College

    PG-Bacharel / Licenciado / Professional title when awarded after 4 years or more with an average of 7 or 3.0 based on the grade scale.

    Students from Germany

    UG-Average grade of 1.7 with grade 12 in 4 Abiturprüfung subjects. Any required subjects should be taken, when possible, at the Advanced Level (Leistungsfach). Certain degree programs require a higher standard.

    PG-Bachelor’s degree from a recognized German university will be considered with the following grade equivalencies:

    2:1 - Gut (2.5 or above)

    2:2 - Befriedigend (3)

    Students applying from different countries must have an IELTS score of at least 6.0 for UG and 6.5 for PG.

    The transport is accessible for students and they can travel using public transport like buses, trains, or subway, park, and ride, walking or cycling.

    Students wishing to travel via bus can use First Bus Journey Planner (app) to plan their journey or can travel via McGill's Buses - Gilmorehill to QEU Hospital, Bus Travel between Garscube, Gilmorehill, and Tay House to go about in Glasgow. The students can pay for the bus fare by using contactless payment cards. The students can even commute using the subway and issue a pass to reduce the travel fare by one-third.
