    University of Bristol has an Indoor Sports Center. It has a sports hall and a sports medicine clinic. On the third floor, it has an indoor running track. The Bristol university has Coombe Dingle Sports Complex. It has indoor and outdoor facilities for sports like football, lacrosse, cricket, hockey, tennis, rugby, netball and strength and conditioning. The facilities available at Coombe Dingle Sports Complex are- 3G pitch, grass pitches (football and rugby), artificial pitches (sand dressed and floodlit), lacrosse pitch, cricket squares and nets (including grass), tennis courts, indoor and outdoor (floodlit), olympic weight lifting gym, netball courts (outdoor), pavilion, lounge bar and meeting rooms, softball and rounders facilities and sports medicine clinic. Tennis coaching programmes are also conducted at the University of Bristol. 

    Sports medicine clinic provides services like osteopathy/physiotherapy, sports massage, neck and shoulder massage with the help of experts. The clinic facilities can be availed by the students, university staff and others. The sports medicine clinic also provides a virtual open clinic. It is a free 10 minutes video consultation. A range of sports facilities are also available at the University of Bristol halls of residence. For example, Wills Hall has 4 outdoor macadam tennis courts, outdoor table tennis table and 1 multi use games area. Similarly, Badock Hall has 4 outdoor macadam tennis courts.

    Gym

    University of Bristol residence halls like Wills Hall have an outdoor gym. Indoor Sports Center has a two storey gym and fitness studios. Out of the two gyms, the main gym has modern equipment for conditioning and fitness training. Upstairs gym has free weights, s-drive treadmills or rowing machine, cardio bikes, a CrossFit-style rig and stretching area. Studios offer a variety of fitness classes yoga, body pump, spin and LES MILLS virtual classes.  The Langford campus also has a gym. The Langford campus is a veterinary school of University of Bristol. It conducts gym sessions like social tennis, circuits, a run club and yoga.

    Swimming Pool

    The University of Bristol swimming pool conducts a range of programmes and aquatic sports for swimmers. The University of Bristol swimming pool has 6 lanes and a moveable bulkhead alongside a teaching pool for lessons. The facility is available for the students, staff and community for casual swimming and lessons. The pool is 32 metres long and 1.2 metres to 3.8 metres deep.

    University of Bristol Accommodation

    University of Bristol accommodation is divided into three student villages: North, East and West Residential Villages. Every residential village has a Residential Life team and fully trained support staff for  24X7 advice, expert help and support. Each residence has a Junior Common Room (JCR) and a variety of activities like theatrical performances, welcome week socials, summer balls, live music and dance events are conducted.     The room types available at Bristol University are single rooms, en-suite rooms, twin rooms, studio rooms and accessible rooms. Single rooms are available with shared bathrooms and kitchen or a basin, shared bathroom and kitchen. En-suite rooms has attached bathrooms but shared kitchen. Twin rooms are shared rooms. Studio rooms have attached kitchen and bathrooms. Room types are basic, standard and standard plus. Basic rooms are smaller than standard rooms,having old decor. Some have awkward shape and sloping ceilings. Standard rooms are standard in size. Standard plus rooms are newly renovated and have premium facilities.

    Also, there are two types of accommodation. Catered accommodation and self-catered accommodation. In catered accommodation, the cost of meals is included in the accommodation fees and two meals is served in a day. The meal is served at set times in the dining hall. In self-catered accommodation, students have to cook for themselves. In self-catered accommodation, shared kitchen is provides. The facilities in the shared kitchen include- refrigerator, cooker, toaster, freezer, kettle, microwave, dining table and chairs. 

    How to register for  University of Bristol accommodation

    • Students have to register on the University of Bristol Accommodation Portal Page.

    • Before registering on the portal, students must have enrolled for studying at University of Bristol and should have a University of Bristol student number.

    • Next, an email will be sent with an activation link.

    • Activation link has to be accessed within 1 hour of receiving the email. 

    • After that, students have to set up their Accommodation Portal login details.

    • After setting the login details, a confirmation email will be sent.

    • Students have to register on the Accommodation Portal and complete the accommodation application by selecting Apply for Student Accommodation from the menu. 

    • In the application form, students need to list their accommodation options and accommodation needs.

    • The application will be processed by an Accommodation Officer, who may contact the students to discuss the application or request furher information from the students to meet their needs.

    • Finally, students will receive an accommodation offer for one of the accommodations they have applied for.
