How to apply for PG courses at University of Otago?
The candidates who wish to apply at the University of Otago must create an account on eVision portal. Click here to create your account now.
Complete the application form by following the instructions on each page. Once you filled up the application form, review it and submit. You can upload the supporting documents such as transcripts and test scores online along with the application form.
The candidate must select the papers for study he/she wishes to study. If the candidate has more than one choice, he/she must select them separately. Once the candidate selects a particular course, the eVision shows the requirements for application and if the candidate doesn’t fulfil the requirements, he/she will not be able to choose that particular paper.
Once the candidate submits the application, the admissions committee reviews it. There are three processes in reviewing the application:
a) Verify the candidate’s identity: The committee will crosscheck the personal information provided by the candidate and verify the identity
b) Check the candidate’s University entrance qualification: The committee will also see if the academic qualification of the candidate is enough to meet the department’s requirement for obtaining a place
c) Check the language requirements: If the candidate is applying from a non-English speaking country, he/she needs to obtain a minimum score in either IELTS or TOEFL. The minimum score required in IELTS is 6.5 in academic module with no less than 6.0 in each section. The minimum score required for TOEFL (paper-based) is 587 and internet based is 95
The successful candidates will be sent an offer letter by the University. If the candidate hasn’t met all requirements such as financial statement or submission of supporting documents, he/she will receive conditional offer letter.
