The University of Michigan Law School is calling for applications for the following:

  • JD Admissions – The JD curriculum at University of Michigan Law School provides a number of off-campus opportunities for students to get exposure of studying at many foreign universities, externship and independent study programmes including international and domestic off-site opportunities. The school also supports paid internships at various centers around the world. The university’s students are eligible for clerkships at various prestigious courts.
  • Dual Degree Programmes – They provide an interdisciplinary approach to the law by offering a number of programmes linked with other departments of the University of Michigan.
  • Master of Laws (LL.M.) – The LL.M. degree at Michigan Law School is an eight-month programme offers courses and seminars, and requires students to complete a research paper under faculty supervision on a topic of their choice. They also get a chance to elect to do more than one research paper. The LL.M. degree is awarded upon completion of 24 credits.
  • The Master of Comparative Law (M.C.L.) - The M.C.L. degree is conferred upon students completing 20 credit hours. The lighter course load permitted by the M.C.L. programme makes it more desirable for those students from civil law countries who anticipate a significant adjustment for studies in English. Students who earned their law degrees from a university in which the primary language of instruction is English or who are native English speakers are not eligible for admission to the M.C.L. programme.
  • M.C.L. or LL.M. with a Research Focus – Students at University of Michigan Law School can also opt to pursue an M.C.L. or LL.M. with a research focus consisting of course and seminar work in the first term of enrollment and extended individual supervised research in the second term.
