The University of Auckland, New Zealand, has announced free online courses for students from around the world. The University will be offering the course in collaboration with FutureLearn, a UK-based consortium founded by the Open University to develop and deliver Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs).
The e-learning project aims to attract a large and diverse international audience. The Universityof Auckland will contribute courses to the FutureLearn platform and work with other globally renowned partners to initiate the e-learning process.
According to Ziena Jalil, Regional Director – South and South East Asia, Education New Zealand MOOCs allow students from across the world to have access to a broad selection of free, high quality courses from some of the world’s best educational institutions.
Education New Zealand (ENZ) is New Zealand’s government agency for international education and works to grow awareness of New Zealand as a study destination.
