UCLA Anderson School of Management MBA has a 9-course core curriculum. It provides an elaborate knowledge in all the fundamental skills required to become a successful business leader.
All of the core courses need to be taken in the first year of the UCLA Anderson MBA programme. In the fall quarter, students start with marketing or finance, in addition to the fixed core courses.
For winter quarter UCLA Anderson MBA students decide whether to take strategy or wait until spring.
In spring quarter, generally a student takes organizational behaviour. Students also get to work on elective courses, which get them started on the academic track and/or their intended specialization(s).
During the second year of study of the UCLA Anderson MBA focus is on the elective courses. Students also complete their Applied Management Research (AMR) project. The AMR is a two-quarter capstone experience that synthesizes everything students have learnt in the classroom and challenges them to apply it in a real-world business setting.
