TOEFL scholarships 2015 - TOEFL 2015 scholarship have been awarded to 10 Indian students for the academic year 2015-16. Worth $70,000 the scholarships are presented by TOEFL conducting authority, Educational Testing Service (ETS) annually.LATEST - Aspirants can check their TOEFL Result 2017 from here!The TOEFL scholarships has been won by students from eight major cities of India which include New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Gangtok, Tiruchirappalli and Thane West. Each TOEFL scholarships 2015 winner has got an award of US$7,000.
Presenting the awards to the winners, Jennifer Brown, Executive Director of the TOEFL Program says, “It is important that we continue to focus on the educational advancement of students in India and assist students who are dedicated to their higher education goals.”
TOEFL scholarships 2015 are aimed at helping students to further their education at any of the institutions around the world that accept TOEFL test scores. Over the past four years, ETS has awarded US$310,000 to help TOEFL test takers in India further their undergraduate or graduate studies.
TOEFL is recognized by more than 9,000 colleges, universities and organizations and other TOEFL participating institutes across 130 countries, including Australia, Canada, the U K and the United States.

Most four - year colleges require that all applicants , domestic and international alike , take the SAT or ACT. If English isn't your first language , then you will likely also have to take TOEFL to apply to college. Most colleges will equally accept IELTS or PTE too. The TOEFL is most popular option.
But if you score highly enough on the verbal section of the SAT or ACT , then you might not have to take the TOEFL.

you can register for IELTS exam in the following way:
1. you can register online and pay the fees by credit card (Log on to www.ieltsidpindia.com and Select the option
"Register for IELTS"
and fill the necessary information).
2. register in person at idp branch and pay the fees there. identical to the first option.
3. register by courier and pay test fee by demand draft.
you can register for TOEFL exam by online means and or by email or by phone. you can also register in person at a toefl resource center. you will be basically required to visit and create an online profile and then pay the exam fees.
Giving either of them is ok actually. And for preparations then if you plan to shift in 2021 try to give the exam in around November 2020 if possible and to start it's preparations, as per me it's a 3 months regular studies required to crack the same. So you can start in around July/August to be well prepared to give the exam.
