Seats Available for the Test-taker Friendly GRE® revised General Test

Register now for 2012 test administrations through December

India (September 26, 2012) –With the popularity of the GRE® revised General Test in India — now with the new ScoreSelectSM option, new test retake policy, and lower test fee —GRE program officials urge test takers to register to test in 2012, as soon as possible, before seats are filled.

There has never been a better time than now to take the GRE revised General Test. The flexible, test-taker friendly design can mean a better test experience. Plus, it is the only admissions test accepted by graduate and business school programs worldwide, giving test takers more opportunities for success.

In addition, the GRE Program recently introduced three changes that are good news for test takers in India and around the world.

  1. The new ScoreSelect option allows test takers to decide which GRE scores from their reportable history to send to the institutions they designate. This new option helps test takers approach test day with more confidence knowing they can send the GRE scores that they feel reflect their personal best.
  2. Test takers can take the GRE revised General Test once every 30 days, and up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-month period.
  3. The GRE revised General Test now has one global price, US$175, for all test takers worldwide regardless of where they test. These changes offer even more options and flexibility for test takers around the world.

The GRE revised General Test is administered at the following computer-based test centers in India:

  • Ahmadabad
  •  Allahabad
  • Bangalore
  • Calcutta
  • Chennai
  • Gurgaon
  • Hyderabad
  • Mumbai
  • New Delhi
  • Trivandrum
