Record rise in Indian students studying in Germany
Germany has witnessed a record rise in the enrollment of Indian students studying in the country. According to the German Federal Statistical Office, in 2013-14 the number of Indians enrolled in German universities stands at 9619, which more than 2000 recorded in the previous year.
“Germany has a lot to offer to young, aspiring Indians: top quality universities, state of the art companies eager to employ promising graduates and a great quality of life. I am glad more and more Indian students have been discovering this and value the benefit of studying in Germany,” said German Ambassador Michael Steiner on the record growth of students.
In the recent years Germany has emerged as a sought after destination of higher education. Over 11.5% of student population of Campus Germany consists of international students.
The reasons for this are manifold. Germany offers International Programmes taught in English medium, excellent quality of education and research at no or low tuition fees, promising career opportunities and above all the vibrant social and cultural milieu.
