Tests for UG admission at Oxford University
Many of the undergraduate courses demand the candidate to take a test as a part of the application process in order to get admission. The tests for the admission for various UG courses are:
Law: LNAT (the National Admission Test for Law). The test is conducted between September 1 and October 20, 2014.
Biomedicine: Biomedical Admissions Test (BMAT)
English Literature: English Literature Admissions Test (ELAT)
History: History Aptitude Test (HAT)
Mathematics and Computer Science: Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT)
Philosophy and Theology: Philosophy Test
Physics, Engineering and Materials Science: Physics Aptitude Test (PAT)
Economics and Management, Geography and Psychology: Thinking Skills Assessment (TSA)
For all the tests except LNAT, the registration date is 15 October and test date is 05 November 2014.
Some courses need to submit a written work by the candidate which needs to be sent directly to the admission committee.
Interview for UG admission at Oxford University
The shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview conducted by the tutors of the university in December 2014. The candidates applying from outside European Union, who cannot travel due to valid reasons, are offered a Skype interview.
The applicant will hear from the University by mid- January 2015 if their applications are successful. If the applicant hasn’t submitted his/her academic transcripts or met the required qualification, the college will offer a conditional offer letter and the candidate will be given time till August to submit the required documents.
